Ok, so I am looking for some inspiration... I have come up with the name for Schulmania's new stock exchange, the Feline Stock Exchange, or FelinEx for short. Sound pretty cool, eh? But, it needs a nifty logo. Anyone got a suggestion of what would make a good logo for it?

Middle Tenne: The Barony

The ruler of Tenne, Prince Excalibur, has been disappointed that he has no administrative subdivisions to award to his friends. But, not anymore! The large lake found up the newly discovered Clinch River has several good sized islands. The lake and its perimeter have been given the name “Barony of Meltonhill”, named for the lake (which, in turn, is named for pioneering settler Sir Emory V. Meltonhill). The new barony consists of three towns: Cedar Hill Chapel, Elm Grove and Elza.

The baronial emblem features an ancient sailing ship on the lake with three shells, one for each of the three towns

As we explore the barony, we must decide where to start. Sir Nineeight, Mayor of Cedar Hill Chapel, has invited us to start in his town. Situated on the western side of the lake, the town is comprised of the western shore and two western islands. Cedar Hill Chapel, or “CHC” to the locals, is also the seat of power for the barony.

The mayor has successfully petitioned Prince Excalibur for the right to coinage. Baron von Lickenfur, first Baron of Meltonhill, requested that the petition be for the entire barony instead of just one town. This request was not without precedent, as Carmelcciase issues regional coinage as well, and was quickly granted. A new mint will be built in Elza, the district capital for Middle Tenne, to produce these coins.

So, ready to see CHC? Of course you are! So, let’s take the mayor up on his invitation and begin our tour of the barony in scenic Cedar Hill Chapel.

First, we arrive by ferry from Roane-Anderson after a night’s cruise up the Wirdle and Clinch Rivers. We can refresh ourselves at the Red Baron Tavern & Inn, located right next to the ferry port.

We see that there’s still plenty of nature in this recently developed area

Anderson Market is the largest in the barony and provides for many of the needs and wants of the area

There’s a bustling commercial core not far from the ferry port. Offices of venerable Schulminion businesses such as VAN Enterprises and Chicken King share an office complex with local upstarts, such as Wildcat Football Formations and Somethin’ Fishy Seafood.

The Alexander Inn and Heart of Shopping are prominent members of the CHC Chamber of Commerce. The Heart of Shopping’s latest gimmick is the “Battlestar Schullactica RPG”, a role playing game for Schulminions who can’t wait another centon to strike back at Queensferry. It’s quite popular.

So, curious as to where the name “Cedar Hill Chapel” comes from yet? It comes from the Chapel of St. Photios on a small island covered with cedar trees. Let’s take a closer look at the landmark which gave the town its name.

The church is connected by a bridge to the mainland and is also the inspiration for the town’s emblem

As you can see, this site is an unusual but scenic location for a church

On the other island is the small Monastery of St. Tabby, which overlooks a wide expanse of the lake

Back on the mainland, we’ll stop by Victory Center, a government office building not far from the chapel and near the Baronial Manor and city hall. Here, we will find the Meltonhill Regional Visitor Center.

At the MRVC (ground floor, left side), we find out that today is the big Lake Meltonhill Regatta! Let’s go!

Boats of all sorts have crowded the harbor for the big race. First place earns 1000 gold schulmonetas; second gets 500 and third 200. That’s good money!

While we wait for the race to start, why not patronizes some local businesses?

Admiral Hestorb Dispatches Enemy Infiltrator

Admiral Hestorb reported a trespassing infiltrator, likely a Queensferry agent, has been caught and dispatched at Wirtyplace. Security agents reported the infiltrator early this afternoon and were on alert. Admiral Hestorb was notified and immediately went into stalking mode. Using her finely honed skills and keen senses, the Admiral quickly detected the intruder. After a brief battle, the intruder was killed. In a news conference, Admiral Hestorb described the intruder as "a gray mouse working for Queensferry, as evidenced by the 'All Hail Victory!" t-shirt and the Queensferry ID card in the name of 'Squeak E. Infiltrator'." The Admiral also reported that the Queensferry agent was searched and found to have multiple incriminating documents, including Oil of Onimay recipes and an assassination plan to be used against the Supreme Wirdle. Additional documents indicate that the infiltrator may be part of a hit squad sent to the capital. One or two additional agents may still be scurrying about. The Admiral and her staff remain on highest alert. Any additional rodent infiltrators will be caught.
