I admit, the cards are very cleverly designed and show quite a bit of graphic design talent on your part. 4.gif (Look more like Magic cars than Yu Gi Oh or Pokemon though. 3.gif )

Still, personally, I'd prefer full size city pics. Much easier to enjoy your SC4 skills thataway. 9.gif

I see the pesky twin post bug got you...

Asking Lauren Ahrns is another possibility, she could likely easily locate any local Chicken Kings.

Before the replies, a request for help, if you have the skills I sorely lack:

    h25ux8.jpg

And now, on with the show:

suplado! Definitely! At the top of everyone's list to buy this season.

Sobol It is good... esp the potatoes and the biscuits. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Hester Sorta! Actually, the pix for CK come from Bojangle's.

lucky7 I am glad you like the cards. I will autograph a set for you!

Jacqulina Sure.... I use the pedmall tiles to disguise my transit. All of the stuff is actually functional.

    panthersimcity4 It's a Hollywood extra!

Twenty20 Merci! I am glad you like those two.

    TimeMaster 1.99 each or 2 for 3.79.

Zelgadis I wonder if I could make an actual deck of Schulmania playing cards. Hmmmm.... [wheels turning in head... smoke coming out]

TimeMaster OK... and you can get the quantity discount: 5 or more for 1.49 each!

Explodingsims Thanks! Glad you like them.

Gn_leugim I am not sure what the rules are. But, all Schulmania regulars always win!

Sobol We'll have to review the CK franchising rules. Maybe they can be more aggressive with expansion.

    Hester Look under "Yumminess"

Leech10 I think she has been to all locations of CK.

anarchy0029 That's right! Pikachu is OUTTA HERE!

edmonton_stinks Ummm, she had 5 aces. Had a few up her sleeve.

Hester So, how did you end up with 5?

Leech10 A SW card trumps all other cards. You win!

Y'know, I'm thinking of withholding my posting until after you've got your big update all prepped and loaded. The excitement is just way too much for me to bear, and I just can't come up with anything creative to say while I'm eagerly awaiting such a momentous occasion. WE WANT THE BIG UPDATE NOW!

    Schulmania's Experiment!

Part Deux: Maybe I learned a little something

    3fa1dcd43a66d-38-1.jpg

I have decided (at last!) to download and install the ploppable water and waterfall pieces. Schulmania has been rather waterfall-less and small body of water-less for some time. And, I look perhaps to change this. In order to do so, I have been playing around a bit with these tools on a random non-Schulmania tile. I am pleased with a few aspects of the waterfall thus far, but I think it needs plenty of improvement. I revised my first waterfall and would like to have your feedback about what you like AND don't like about each one. I am NOT emotionally attached to this waterfall, so if you criticize it, I will not cry. I know it has room for improvement. After all, I have seen a good number of waterfalls better executed than mine. What I am hoping for is your thoughts on how to improve it and perhaps your hard-earned, hard-learned tricks that I can steal... I mean borrow... to develop better waterfalls. Once I can do a better job with them, I will start making some in Schulmania.

So, without much more ado, here's the pics. And, if you have a comment about a particular pic, pse reference it so I can know which one you like/hate.

    WATERFALL EXPERIMENT PICTURE #01

    111.jpg

My thoughts: Taking some of the advice I received, I went for a channel which seems to fit the water better. Seems a bit more natural. I think I was approaching it backwards last time. (like that's the first time I have done something completely wrong! 3.gif )

    WATERFALL EXPERIMENT PICTURE #02

    222.jpg

My thoughts: Seems like it "flows" better. I like the little spray thing in the middle. The trees in the water, I could live without.

    WATERFALL EXPERIMENT PICTURE #03

    333.jpg

My thoughts: The chute itself is still not working for me they way I would like. But, it is getting better. Any thoughts on this one?

    WATERFALL EXPERIMENT PICTURE #04

    444.jpg

My thoughts: Rocks are ok... but why is the waterfall disappearing under the plane of the water? Ahhh, the mysteries of science!

    WATERFALL EXPERIMENT PICTURE #05

    555.jpg

My thoughts: The bottom falls look better than the top. I wanted the 2 tile wide at top but I must not have it angled well. It seems to be more marshmallow crème than waterfall. Still need to work on this one. Anyone know if there is a 2 tile wide rapid? I like the rapids and would like to use more, but they all seem to be 1x1.

    WATERFALL EXPERIMENT PICTURE #06

    666.jpg

My thoughts: The form seems to be fairly natural and organic in appearance. The shorelines seem a bit abrupt. Suggestions?

Numbers 1 and 6 are great.

For number 1, I always liked from-behind pics of waterfalls. Neat effect that you captured there. 4.gif

For number 6, I don't think the shorelines are abrupt at all. Looks great to me. 9.gif

Looks good! I say you should try flattening out the land where the water will be a little more, some of it looks like its on the side of a hill. Also, rotating the view then placing more water could make the water in the center seem smoother.

It looks very static. I mean, when you take a snapshot and post it.. there is some semblance of life to the pictures. No of the ones you posted look alive. 43.gif

I liked the farms in your Linda O'Connel poems update. The Mediterranean Bats add a very nice feel to that settlement... the tight and angled alleyways look very Sicilian 4.gif. Btw, I love the trading cards... I definitely need all of them. But I didn't find anyone who would trade the Supreme Wirdle.

As for the waterfalls, all of them look very good. I myself would be very happy with this outcome. The first one is my favorite though, it has just the right proportions. And I like the steps.

Hi Bruce, lol I'd like to have the autograph with one of your kittie's pawn-stamps, naturally in black food coloring, to avoid harming the paw. A very good natural update ; concerning the waterfalls and rapids: I have been experiencing the same with one of my regions (work in progress...) , so if you put in the ploppable water, with the surface shining through, you will always have these, let's say not-eyecandy-effects. I covered it with the small rocks, but when viewing from a different angle, you'll realize, that it's still messed up. The ploppable water is great, though, as well as the waterfalls and rapids- put both together and you have to play around a bit, which is very time consuming. I am posting a picture later tonight to show you a comparison dealing with the same problems (I just have to re-enter sc which takes forever... ) .

    So, talk to you later,

    lucky7

    So, here's my illustration:

    another angle:

    1afterol5.jpg

Same to the waterfalls; well, if the rapids and the waterfalls would be a bit higher in the LE, they should fit the ploppable water, or? Or not? I ahve to try out, my poor LE skills should allow that. We'll see...

    Ok, take care,

    lucky7

    It's...ALIVE

There's something about those waterfalls that's maybe...not quite right, but I can't put my finger on it. It's a great start!

Ahhh, here I am again after my loooong vacation in Devonshire. Gotta say I was completely out of the world lately. Oh well...

Anywho, back to the dusty - cough, cough - Risa Beach office (I'm still mayor, yes?). First off, I need waterfall #3 to get everything purrfectly clean here... and we must celebrate yet another Schulmania's celebration. Ooo, cakes, CATNIP! 3.gif
