So, you tell me I was scared by a spider? 4.gif But it's a great photograph... when you see it from that close, it does look kinda scary and disgusting.

I'm looking forward to your next update.

East Atkinos: The Woods of Wayne

The wooded hills of East Atkinos roll on toward the great salt ocean on the eastern coast. The rolling landscape ends in the rocky coastline. Only one spot has been found which is well suited for maritime traffic. This spot was selected by Fleet Captain von Bremerhaven for a new ocean port to compete with Cape Eastway, the dominant port on the Devonshire coast. He has been increasingly concerned about the amount of trade being funneled through Cape Eastway. He was not particularly fond of East Devonshire's avian governor and wanted to blunt her impact on the eastern coast. He had a swath of forest cut down in that area to facilitate development of a new town. Named for the thick forest covering East Atkinos, the new town of Woods of Wayne offers dramatic scenery coupled with fine amenities and an extra helping of charm.

Let's take a look at the town. It was designed by famed city planner Professor Urban Townes and landscaping was developed by renowned horticulturist Ivy Trellis.

    wide1oj4.jpg
Looking east, the town can be seen centering on a large town green. The flowers growing in the wooded areas have increased greatly with the added sunlight once the trees were cut down.

Local businesses have set up along Ocean Promenade, which runs the length of the town and fronts both the port and the municipal building. Due to the rather remote location of the town and its lack of roads to the interior, most of the businesses are local operations. The only franchise in town is Chicken King. The promenade features shops not seen elsewhere. But, if they are successful, they may perhaps grow and spread, just like the near-ubiquitous CK.

    center5rw5.png
A stroll down the promenade reveals small shops with colorful names. From left to right we see: Early Dawn Hotel, Brian's House of Beef (formerly Mama's Lima Bean Café ), WOW Bank (Woods of Wayne Bank), Blunderbuss Tower (the skinny gray building at center), Nikonia Art Gallery, Bureau of Feline Affairs. Opposite are a seafood restaurant (left) and the turreted MEOW Building (Maritime Edifice of Wayne), which serves as headquarters for Fleet Captain von Bremerhaven's fleet and manages trade along the east coast.

    ck2gk8.jpg
The lone franchise, Chicken King, anchors the southern end of the promenade. The curving façade of the Uhrmo Building hosts a feline favorite on ground level- Tweety's Bird Café. Yes, you did...YOU DID taw a puddy tat!

One of the intriguing aspects of this new town layout is the large central town green. Most Schulminion cities focus on a major building. This one, on open space. And, most open spaces have either been cultivated or have been woods, perfect for hunting feline residents. Here, the cleared woodlands abound with wildflowers. It's a floral bonanza unlike any other in Schulmania. The rich soil of the East Atkinos coast coupled with the abundant sunlight in the cleared areas have encouraged native flowers to flourish as never before. Most homes in the town abut either the town green or other colorful fields.

    eastside2bp1.jpg
Fleet Captain von Bremerhaven lives at the end of this street (at lower left... only the front gate is visible in the image above). His neighbors enjoy a beautiful rustic meadow which extends behind the church.

    homes7tb2.jpg
Fleet Captain von Bremerhaven's home sits at the end of Wren's Ford Lane.

    homes2nl3.jpg
Nature lovers will be thrilled to live in Woods of Wayne.

    homes5pr8.jpg
The abundance of flowers has made the new town one of the most talked about spots in the nation.

    homes6ee6.jpg
Stunning vistas such as these make homes go for quite a premium.

    northwest3lp7.jpg
Miss Carol's is the only inn for the town. It features a small restaurant which is well-known to have the only certified ham in the region.

Interested in owning a fine home in Woods of Wayne? The realtor's office is located in the domed building on the corner, just down the street from the church.

I am!!! My housemate apparently defaulted on the rent when we bought a house from you in Schulmania before. So, I am in the market for another home and another housemate.

lol the idea with the monster is a good one... - even better as creating great waterfalls lol Wow, this is flowers gallore, and honestly spoken, Woods of Wayne looks very rich. Where does this richness come from? I bet they sell a huge amount of those flowers on the blackmarket... 2.gif for producing the feared 'PW' , the pollen weapon lol )

Well done, looking forward to more and take care, Bruce,

*Sigh* I missed the big moment I guess, but it was still EPIC! The trading cards were cool, the storyline of the massive update was well written and thought out. The last update was fun as well.

I'm still depressed over missing the grand premier, but I'll get over it.

    Till then:

    ROCK ON!

Now this was well worth the wait! I would really like to live near that town green... it makes a very nice backyard 4.gif. What's the real estate agent's name, btw? Tray d'Alot? (okay, that wasn't a very good one, I admit). Lovely town there, your British theme looks just as good as your other ones.
