With a population of 22,600 it seemed a little to big to put in the small towns thread so I thought maybe it might fit here.

This is downtown Laird.

Part of the Caledon Quay district of Passau

Wow..that is wonderful.  I always love those modern skylines.  Very stunning.  Great work.  I never got a city to look like that.  Maybe because I used only growables - drove me nuts.

I'll throw in a few.  Currently working on region Riemann Lake, which has an American-ish subregion and a European-ish subregion

pWAzzqg.jpg

Möbius, pop 93,000

efTe2ZC.jpg

Westfield, pop 70,000

Well, I think I'll post Riemann and Norwalk a little later.  Basically, all 4 cities are on the big lake; Riemann is on the south shore, Norbury is on the north shore, Westfield is... well, you can guess the rest.

Well, I didn't want to wait too long, so as promised:

FaiCwNd.jpg

Riemann, pop 106,000

RrDKOUJ.jpg

Norbury, pop 108,000

In Norbury, the environmentalists have a lot of sway, so the trees get a lot of protection and the city ended up kind of splotchy.  Riemann somehow balanced pretty well... and by somehow, I mean an abundant use of "make historic".  So, them's the towns.

Details: handcrafted terrain + no cheats. SC4 Rush Hour, CPT tree mod, NAM, CAM (with excess C/I demand removed).  Terrain mod too (there are snowcapped parts of region).

Yeah, they're mostly plopables. If you're trying to grow them make sure u have the Maxis building blockers, that way only ur 3rd party buildings will grow.

I plop as well as Lot Edit 'blocks' of buildings. In my opinion allowing the game to do as it pleases doesn't create either an attractive or a realistic city. It needs to be modded, plopped and edited in many ways.

I generally only allow growable lots for suburban residential and some industry and even then I amend  a lot of it.

Well then. If i'm going to do a maxis blocker. I need to have a lot of addons. Any suggestions?

Why use a Maxis blocker when you can have That mod re-lots all the Maxis residential and commercial lots to add seasonal trees to them, and this really goes a long way towards improving the way they look. Many of the Maxis buildings look fine IMO; it's just that they're way too repetitive. Downloading more custom lots will fix this by adding more variety.

Hello Guys;

I want to share with all of you some pictures of my current project, It is Hong Kong and I will make a City journal about this recreation in the future !!

I hope you like it :thumb:

That looks great! I've never thought about using the airport terminals like that, and I've been looking for mods to do something like that.

That looks like Neko Panchi's Japanese sidewalk mod, which comes with hedges for avenues (original available here). Magneto made a RHD version of that, available

City named Portland (lack of imagination)

Two business districts, with a vague connection between them with some shopping centers and mid-rise residential.

uJQO6Sd.jpg

The main business district. The actual CBD.

The second business district, also containing the stadium.

Feedback would be very appreciated and motivate me to make more :)

Unnamed city. Also two business districts. The CBD to the north surrounded by freeways. around 95 % of everything is grown. For most of my cities that amount is 100 %.

jCOK3gE.jpg

A city named Wellins shore. A good amount of industry here as well, although it is struggling.

Sorry for not making it all a single post.

City of Wens. Major industrial hub with lots of industry primarily to the west of the CBD.

Nebuchadnezza: Those are some interesting looking cities! If only ground view was possible in SC4. I'd love to have a look at the skylines of such cities. :)

Even more considering it's almost 100% grow. That's very impressive!

I've got a city called Colburn going on. As you can see, it's nowhere near finished yet, but I'm starting to get to the point where I actually start zoning. :P

Good choice of only highest-quality BATs, and tasteful arrangement! Red's Hyatt Hotel right on the river bank is a nice touch. :)

EDIT: That three-way avenue intersection looks like a driver's nightmare, though. :P

Thanks, and yep, horrible road junctions... gotta love 'em. Those stupid sims are to dumb to realise they live in driving hell.
