Cycledoggs terrain mod

I still get the blocky edges on the water. I've tried removing the columbus beach cliff file, i've tried between 16 and 32 bit color, tried default water and some water mods. I've tried playing with AA/AF. I've even done a format and reinstall, and nothing has worked. I'll try that PEG's water mod mentioned in the thread to see if it helps, but I doubt it will.

Hi there everyone. First time poster here at ST. I have this mod downloaded, and it's beautiful. What I don't notice is the awesome water modifications that you can see in some of the first pics Cycledogg posted of the Lewis and Clark expedition CJ.

Is that particular part of the mod not yet available, or is it a different mod being used altogether? I really like the muddyness or the shallow areas, not to mention the rocks.

Is this mod still incompatible with the Snowcapped terrain mod? If so, are there any plans to fixing it, or can it be fixed?

Yes it's still incompatible with the snowcapped mod and I don't know how to fix it (I believe it can't be fixed)
unless cyvledogg himself does something about it.

OH have been a while since I made this thread, and problems still seem to be occuring. Well I'll try to help!

    SS454:

I know that the beaches in CD/CPs mod can be somewhat blocky, but have you made the beaches in a area with flat or steep terrain? Also try and extend the shallow water near the beach this should help.

If you are not quite sure what I mean, check out a picture of mine from page 2 in this thread:

    beach9un.jpg

I have also created larger beaches (without the beach mod though) but then you'll need a very flat terrain.

if there is anything, don't be afraid to ask! 2.gif

    take care

ExiL3, I went to the site you linked to on page 1, but I got The page you requested is unavailable errors whenever I tried to download a file. I also got a similar error when I tried to download Cycledogg's update on page 2.

Do you know where this mod is located now, so I can download it? 42.gif

    Thanks.

Well, since CD seems to be off-side actually, and I was also impatient to use the snow with that great mod, I made a Snowcapped mod compatible with CD

Well, I was going to D/L CD's Terrain Mod now but seeing as an updated version is on the way, I guess I can wait a while longer.

I assume PEG's water textures are compatible with the Terrain Mod. Am I correct?

Well it looks like the Mirrors on Cycledoggs site are down, and there aren't any other mirrors that I am aware of.

I have a copy of the mod on my pc, but It is modified, and it is a total of almost 9 Mb, so i dunno if I will upload it here. Maby if you PM a admin, he/she can do something about that?

Fischbob: You are very much correct, just look at my pic above where I use one of PEGs water mods.

    take care

I plan to release two versions. One with low snow (over 6 degrees as seen in my CJ) and another with snow over 3 degrees ( higher that whats seen in my CJ) 9.gif

    Jeronij,

Will these include different beach textures as well, or will that be another texture pack?

Hmm... I'm confused, I thought the beach mods weren't compatable.  'Course, I haven't bothered to check since I got the mod the first week it was out....

Would that be in place of the beach cliff file?

And, another question... I haven't, since I downloaded this mod, had a rock texture installed either.  If I recall, those were not compatable with the beachcliff file either... so does that mean I can install a rock mod if I remove the beachcliff, too?

    Jglei,

That's correct. If you remove the Beach cliff file, you can use your rock and beach mods. The file is incompatiable with the roack and beach mods. There is a required rock file in the CD terrain mod files, but I think it affects a different set of textures (textures other than the cliffs and beaches).

Just thourght I would inform you all that the links off the website (to download everything) are down, so could I just ask if there are alternate places to get this mod? Another thing I would like to ask is how did ExiL3 overcome his/hers dillema in the first place (Just so that I know what to do!!!)

    Thanks for reading!!!

Sorry.  I didn't realize it, but the mod files have been removed from that site.46.gif  (It is someone else's site.)  I'll try to upload the textures to the stex in the next couple days.  It will be the same old Columbus textures (no update yet).  In a couple(?) months there will be a major update, though.1.gif

An update? Can you tell us what you're going to change? Are you planning to allow more choice, or are you going for a different look, and if so, in what way different? I'd really like to know...

OK, the textures are on the stex (I think)

T Wrecks: the future update will have lots of new textures.  I can't give many details because I don't know.  I know there will be some red desert textures and some mossy textures, because I've made them already.  Otherwise, who knows?

the textures have been uploaded to the STEX. so you don't need his site for those. as for the trees, they are already available on the STEX.
