Can anyone help me why my Office won't build? Using Cities XL Platinum, no mods. In my main city (1.2 million people), the demand is -35. The skyscraper office are all losing money and giving no taxes. Any office I build around my city simply won't build. This is obviously has an impact on my other industries building. What could be the problem? Thanks

Air pollution is now below 80 on the line graph, roughly 50% overall on the mayor rating bars. Continiously trying to improve that, but I dont think its too bad considering the density. I do have an old version of NAM installed, and oddly they still wont use the freeway that is running through the middle. I have only made a few new zones, but mainly been destroying buildings and adding parks and recreation. I have a lot of parks, including downloaded ones that are supposed to have good landmark effects and increase desirability, but they dont seem to improve the surrounding buildings. When residential demand pops up, its always R$$ and R$$$.

Neighboring cities has one which is primarily residential, over 300,000 people, and the other city is a smaller map which is primarily commercial. Those cities dont have issues with deteriorating buildings. Theres tons of CO$$$ jobs in the downtown, but they've all downgraded to CO$$, even though the commute times and educations are quite high. Mayor rating is 100% too.

My downtown city fluxuates constantly with the RCI demand. One minute it will have the bars up for CO$$ and CO$$$ and then the next minute it'll be way down in demand for the same things. This is the same situation for R$$ and R$$$. Also a lot of buildings keep deteriorating, and even when the R$$$ or CO$$$ demand goes up, it doesnt make the buildings normal, it just builds another building and deteriorates another. So how do I get the buildings to look normal and keep the RCI demands stable, without cheating? Just to note, my crime rate is pretty low (around 16-18 on average), Commute times I've improved to about 20, Education is around 160, working a lot on enviorment has my air pollution down to under 80, garbage is gone (even though it shows 600 tons), there are plenty of smaller parks and an increasing amount of greenery/trees. Even going to the lenghts of deleting some of the deteriorated buildings in hopes it'll increase the RCI demand. So far not much result. Any help would be great, thanks.

is there any other place to get that file? I dont want to register to get 1 file. Perhaps it comes with a BAT on simtropolis? BTW the file I have is from March 26, 2005

Thanks. Unfortunatly the file seems to be offline from the servers it seems.

I have a few BAT's from simgoober's creations, but a few dont have query's for growable buildings, which means I cant make the buildings historical. The buildings are.... Circuit City Ace Hardware Comp USA Simgoober, would it be possible for you to make query's for these buildnings? Thanks

I still get the blocky edges on the water. I've tried removing the columbus beach cliff file, i've tried between 16 and 32 bit color, tried default water and some water mods. I've tried playing with AA/AF. I've even done a format and reinstall, and nothing has worked. I'll try that PEG's water mod mentioned in the thread to see if it helps, but I doubt it will.

What a fantastic texture mod. The tree's are superb too. I am another that is having a problem with the beaches, as mine dont show up anymore. I gather that all I have to do is remove the CP_ColumbusBeachCliff.dat file, however I still would like to keep the underwater pebble texture. Is there any chance you'll make that underwater texture seperate so we can still keep our original beaches? EDIT: I'm almost having trouble with my water edges being blocky. Is there a fix, or does it require certain water texture mods, as someone previously mentioned?

Very very impressive. What water texture are you using?

I love the trees you have in your cities and how they are placed. Did you plant them all yourself, or are they mostly random? The industrial area makes me drool, i love how many cool buildings you create. The CP Rail trains!! I've looked everywhere, and I STILL cant find them. Do you think you still have the install file on your PC?
