I remember this on. It has same roof texture as Boutique shops and I, honestly have problem with it. Tho the "whiteish" edges of the tiles are meant to resemble the decaying joints of concrete, on boutique shops they look like shiny aluminum joints. Here they do look better but I still have the same problem. Can it be improved somehow? Other than that - true beauty, and a real classic

Feel free to scrutinize my credibility, here, but I disagree about the roof texture.

I think it looks more than good enough for the game; in fact it's stunning, as your work has always been. I definitely understand that folks here come from professional backgrounds and understand much more about architecture than I do at the present, but I still feel that this is a website for SimCity 4, and while buildings should never be rushed onto the STEX, it would be splendid if they would make it on the STEX sooner rather than later.

Art is something that can never truly be finished, and there will always be imperfections in folk's eyes, as you can never please everyone. So while this building may never truly be 'done', I think the important thing is that it has reached an excellent standard of quality, and would certainly be enjoyed by everyone who plays the game and may find use for this building.

Again, I'm definitely not as knowledgeable as others here, but that's just my two cents. But I mean absolutely no disrespect, and I definitely appreciate the amount of attention paid to accuracy and quality by many in this forum.

Vlasky & paulvmontfort: I appreciate your comments, and you are right, this is the same base texture that was used on the Boutique Shops (modified, of course). It is indeed meant to look like a metal panel roof. Normally, I would be more willing to address concerns such as these (I'm not completely satisfied with the roof myself) but I am trying really hard to get through my backlog of projects, and this one is actually completely finished, modded, lotted and basically ready for upload to the STEX. Overall I am very happy with how 333 E. Chicago has turned out, and I'd like to move on to bigger, better things! (Like Cadillac and Carew Towers!)

I'm just running one more test in the game for 333 E. Chicago, but this should be on the STEX very soon!

Next on my agenda: finish Finch & Co.

That building at the bottom left with a curving facade... What exactly is it and can we expect it soon? Looks like a orthogonal to diagonal transition one, very intriguing

I'm pretty certain that's a distorted image of nofunk's own Ford Building. Look at the top of the building on the other side of the street. It also is slightly curved.

@io_bg: So um... I'm nothing if not lazy. When I was putting my STEX images together, this screen shot didn't exactly fit my STEX template, so I stretched the edges to fit, hence the curvy buildings and roads. Because, you know, Heaven forbid I actually take the 5 minutes to go back into the game and take a new screen shot!

Of course, that's not to say there aren't some diagonal buildings in the works...

Ah yeah, at first I though it's some kind of a MAVE6 transition to a wider NWM network (even though such ones don't exist).

I checked out 333 E Chicago yesterday, and I like it a lot. The corner entrance really is a nice feature, and your night lights make it look so great when it's dark.

Your latest creation should look great between Aaaron Graham's 2x2 NY residentials! I'm beginning to compile what's almost two NYBT/BSP tilesets with some creations by cycledogg, JBSimio, SG and spa thrown in... and, of course, the individual non-BSP releases you and Jason are uploading.
