I wanna save the Epson and the LG for Paulvmontfort since they are iconic...the gold tower and the ones immediatly next to it I wanna do eventually becuase even though they be a little boring HK people will recognize them. And they are very skinny.

Here is me going crazy with ChongQing's planning. I decided 4 Tower variations...prolly 1-3 renders of each in slightly different angles. Some at midrise levels. All singles but can be made as props for larger zoning.

ChongQing is a very exciting place in term of construction!

It is sadly overlooked in the west as it is a bit off the beaten track- HK-SH-BJ. But it can already at least compete with them! And it does have it's own stile - which is not that usual.

Could of words of criticism though...

Bixel, sweet Bixel!! At this point there is not single soul here at the simtropolis who would for a split second doubt you remarkable ability to supply, if needed, the entire populace of China with residences in a mater of days! You've undisputed crown of the BAT MACHINE!

I hope you'll take a deep breath now and try to move a little bit to the higher level of quality of details!

I know you've several times mentioned here and there that you only play at zoom level4 or even 3 and I guess it is understandable as vast majority of your creations are very tall ones. But I hope you'll find it in your heart to move to level 5 and bring in the level of details fitting this level. Not doing it would be starving your own talent of new growth potential. I would be more then willing to help you if needed. I really wish to see you developing!

These new towers are good! But i 'm sure that screenshot at level 5 zoom will show you some room to improve! I hope yo know what I mean!

Yeah, but SimFox's point is still valid. I noticed on the HK Tower Pack 4 + AddOn that some of the buildings look a bit cartoonish / cell-shaded when viewed from close up, and that they don't mix seamlessly with other buildings at Zoom 5. The Garden Estate Towers or the Kwai Chung Estate series was better in this respect, although the HK Tower Pack stuff is still great.

Don't this is the preliminary stage...there will definetly be stuff on the roof..I am also going to add stuff to the balconys...and I will find textures suitable for those larger square spots...there are no textures in the preview.

Since the Chinese models are so remarkably non-complex I am going to add all sort of goodies on the blank walls.. I am thinking artsy-metallic pipeing and lattice-work. Checkerboard color designs and perhaps signature icons to the 4 different buildings designs; for example a simple black & white panda, a lychee nut, tea leaves, and pagoda.

if any one wants to dabble in some simple graphic design to come up with the above icons you are more than welcome to post your jogs or gifs here. i will use them as banners and icons on the top corner placement of the towers.

Sorry Bixel for not being here in this forum. I know this was posted a while back, but you wanted to know the gold building with the Chinese characters. It is to the east of Central Plaza in between Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. The pic shows the gold building to the extreme right. Not a good pic but it does provide some context as to where its located, should anyone is still interested.

Oh that's the Victoria Towers. That highway leads to Canton Rd. (Ocean Terminal and Tsim Sha Tsui). I never knew what the building actually looked like because its so damn tall, and the setback from the sidewalk is virtually 0m.

Speaking of sheer size, here is a little fun screenshot that should make the little megalomaniac in everyone happy... it's composed of the two halves of Metro City II which I plopped together in various constellations - the growable versions should permit the same as long as you have sufficient demand. The lot sizes ought to be exotic enough at 6x9 and 6x12...

I'm waiting for a reply from bixel whether he'd like something particular in the building description part of the readme, then all it takes is a few minutes to finish the readme, and this modest little hut (21x6 tiles, ~ 16 megabytes unzipped) can go online.
