I think..... now we have fair amount of HK/Asia BATs made, and I am feeling like we should be having an Asia-themed CJ...... (There are fair amount of Europe-themed CJ already)

There is a very experienced CJer called Fox who used to do HK-like city called "Alicante City". Fox quitted CJing after some unfortunate events in a CJ union, but is about to return with a fresh mind. So, I am thinking.... what about HK/Asia BAT team backing up Fox's Asia-themed CJ?

We promote our BAT productions through Fox's CJ

Fox's CJ attracts people's attention by effectively using HK/Asia BAT team productions 

Fox's signature would say something like "Alicante City, supported by HK/Asia BAT team" and somewhere, we say "Check Alicante City for our amazing Asian BAT productions!"

The whole idea is, Mutual promotion.

Should we make this deal? Fox's CJ will become one of the first hard-core East Asia CJ!

I'm generally skeptical towards anything that has to do with advertisement, team identity behaviour and team promotion (yes, I would make a poor salesman), but I can't see much harm in this. As long as we don't take ourselves or the team name too seriously and focus on substance rather than surface, this idea sounds good to me.

Fox is an ace CJer (and a great lot maker, too - I wonder if he'd be willing to help us out in that department, skilled as he is), his pictures would be great to look at for everyone. Focusing on an Asian theme, he'd also be able to give some feedback on what's missing.

Hey ... It would be a great honor indeed and I look forward to hearing more about this idea.

I believe it is already along the lines of how my CJ use to flow previously, although I concentrated on mainly HK Bat team bats, being an Asian themed CJ was essential, I also did offer a lot of information on other buildings and locations for download ect, not to mention the praise I had for the creator of the bats.

I did start a thread over at Skyscraper City forums a while ago promoting these awesome bats, unfortunately real life got in the way and I was no longer able to contribute to the thread.

I see your concerns T Wrecks, but I've had a lot of experience at this, I originally joined the BSC group a few years back, after being asked by their leader after my great efforts highlighting specific bats and doing a sort of critic on them if you will .... if only that thread was still about. It was up to 70 pages with the help of the BSC and people such as jtportland and Dusktrooper.

I also appreciate the kind words you all seem to have for me, and trust me, the feeling is mutual. If it wasn't for people like Bixel, paulvmontfort and dmscorpio, I would have lost interest in the game long before my break late last year. Any way, to bring my ramble to an end, I'll be in touch and look forward to seeing what kind of ideas and thoughts you all might have.

dont worry about the Skyscraper City forums.. I keep it updated and it still one of the best hit threads in the forum. 4 pages of replys and about 2300+ hits, I need more pictures posted there though, I also need dmscopio or somebody who can speak a little of the language to explain further how and where to get the BATs and what to do with them. I understand that a lot of the HK people there seem to be using MACs, can they drag and drop the files directly into the plugins like we do? or is it different?

I've never been on a Mac, but I think they can handle zipped files without having to purchase any additional tools. With .EXE files, it's a different story. That's why I'm all for continuing that old NDEX policy of sticking to regular ZIP files.

On a side note, it also forces people (Windows users explicitly included) to take at least some care and be aware of what they are doing with their downloads instead of dumbing them down with two-click installers that leave them unconscious of what actually happens in the background and where the files go.
