Thanks, I love your Mother Earth Project!! I wish you will make Shenzhen in the future too. I made lot of Shenzhen Bats, like the ShunHing Square, SZ City Hall, Universiade Stadiums and Special Zone Tower.  And 2 more major bats(Libarary and Children's Palace) of downtown SZ are on its way.quote>

Hey of course that Shenzhen is in my list of projects; Guanzhou too.

If i can download this building in the next week, i promess that the next city will be Shenzhen.49.gifThe only thing i need is the map of the city...o_O.... but anyway, great version of SWFC. I'm sure that this is one will be one of the greatest bats in the STEX and an example for the amateur batters.

ive seen news said that SWFC can accept around total 40'000 people, and also indicated that it will offer 12'000 people to work there. so i think 8000 is good , but even 10'000 is better . 4.gif

i am glad that you put Shenzhen and Guangzhou in your list. The SWFC will be out next week, so prepare yourself for a nice Shenzhen region. HAHA! Just google Shenzhen, you will find a map of it easily, or i can request my NHP teamate  to create a Shenzhen map for you.

    40,000 jobs!47.gif

Well than i guess 8,000 must be little bit, at least in reality.

I can't explain it, but for some reason, SimCity 4 D.E. wasn't made to hold real large scale amounts of population.

I mean, the biggest city in my region is a Large size city and is just dotted with high-rises, and it only has half a million people in its downtown area.22.gif

I agree with paulvmontfort and SimFox... You need more windows across the side of the tower and more rows of windows going up the tower.... There should be spaces, ie: glass that doesn't light up, between the floors that do light up.

As for the jobs in SC4, anything that has substantially more than 8,400 occupants won't grow. The biggest residential I ever got to grow was APTX's Funai-Cho with 8,590 occupants, and the biggest commercial was less than 8,000. 15.gif

Hope this is the final version. Fix the lights and added a bit more on the side. Now the capacity is CO$$$6000, stage 8.

How on Earth did you make it any better?! It was, in my opinion, perfect since the beginning! I am going out of mind here! I cannot wait for this beatiful building to be posted!!!!

it's not perfect still. The number of windows hasn't been changed yet. You have a row of 17,5 windows on every floor. It should be no less then 46! Those windows on your tower are huge. And with the nightlighting, why the hell do you have two rows of windows between floors in some parts and one row of windows in other parts. It doesn't make sence to me. I might sound a bit harsh but it's such an amazing project. It deserves to be perfect 2.gif

I have to agree with paulvmontfort. While it's a great model, and a thorough job with the textures so far, it somehow doesn't look quite right. My main concern is the lack of detail. The glass facade looks too uniform, more like plastic than glass (at least in the night shot). Adding more windows will definitely help, maybe not 46, but at least 30 or so.

Yep... I'll sign on the dotted line under the Paul's messages...

it is really shame to let such a great model go so underdone. Particularly since quite detailed plans do exist.

I have couple of things to add to what Paul said though.

    1. nightlighting wise - in the corners of the building - those that go all the way up shouldn't be any lights, or at least not like those you've put there. These corners are in fact concrete secondary cores of the building and house elevators that bring people to and from the observation deck.

    2. Office floors and hotel floors lighting could be different in both color and distribution. I would suggest to make the more office floor lines to light up, but with, perhaps smaller intensity. Hotel floors windows should be more chaotically distributed, have greater intensity variance and be of more yellow color. But one thing htat should be looked into is the flatnes of solid color look of the night windows...

    3. refuge floors for some reason are made only at the very lowest part of the tower. plus spacing should be fixed. You have to decide what is the floor span and edit all the windows, etc accordingly . at the moment there is some misguidance there.

The texture on the base (the squares) doesn't look real. Is that what is on the real building? Also the flooring on the base (more squares), doesn't look real either. Just things my eye caught. I am also no so sure on the nightlighting for the windows. I've seen Paul, HK, and Simfox do some great lighting... maybe they could help you?

    Just constructive critisim.

    The overall model is wonderful!

C'mon people! I honestly don't know what ou are expecting. Do you really need to continue trying to add more things on the project? It in my opinion looks great. Besides, the real building is not even made. How do we know what the base is going to EXACTLY look like? Dmscopio, man honestly, the building is awesome!
