Europe ANNO EU City region !

Zurich, last city in this region is progesing rapidly ! This city tile is allmost completly full and thus ends this regular series ? Yes, as there´s not much to add or so ? Some cities are well worked out, some most of the way and some little touched ! Frankfurt the first surprisingly still has a lot of space open, Koeln has been built about 80 % and Insbruck.Salzburg tiles are completly free !

Frankfurt, the first was done in three CJ so that leaves room for more. Koeln North may have a few additions and the Insbruck Salzburg initiali was incorperated with Munchen but didn´t got the treatment like done with Dresden, Luzern and Praghue so !

Mayon my other region too have some still to be build up area´s wich for now may probably startup afther the summer but aswell in a informal style. What will be the build up with Europe Anno to be determined as the cities are packed with gameplay issues !

Parts of my region of New Euromerica. Started this region back in 2013 and has gone over many different terrain deigns. It's going pretty well so far but I'm nowhere close to done.

West Harris - South Texas

Starting a bit of a project on this fictional Texas inspired map. Just something I made in SC4Terraformer. It is roughly 160 square miles. It is based on the Hill Country and some of the plains, a little bit squished together as the darker green you can see are a bunch of lodgepole pines (to mimic the pines you'd see in East Texas/Houston). But that fizzes out once you move west and instead there's a bunch of pinyon pines, the closest I can get to the mountain cedars you will find in central/west Texas and the Hill Country. I of course intend to add a lot more deciduous trees. Most of them will be evergreen to mimic the Live Oaks that stay green most of the year until they briefly lose their leaves in early Spring.

All of that will be added in slowly as I start making my cities and farms as that's gonna take a while. But yeah, I'm pretty happy with the look. It's not really going to be a full on city (that's a project for another time). Instead it's going to be the western edge/outskirts of a fictional city based on Houston/San Antonio with mostly suburbs, freeways, a few malls, mini business districts (possibly one similar to Westheimer in Houston which almost looks like a CBD area) and all of that. It'll probably take up only 8 of the tiles towards the top right. The rest will be farm lands, a few small towns/villages, and one bigger small town way to the far bottom left (not pictured, but it's mostly flat). As you can see there's also a reservoir (unnamed) and a river. Not sure what I'll be doing with those yet but it should be interesting.

Farmlands mostly gonna be in the flatter areas and between hills. But pretty much I'm trying to brainstorm what to do with all of the pretty hill country. Maybe create some natural park area, trails, scenic roads, hidden gated communities and some tiny western town maybe. We'll see.

Overall, I can't wait to work with this region and it should be interesting.

"The Frontier" area of my Ring of Fire mega-region. This is actually the very first, and only connection I have with Simnation

Rather than building road and rail, I went for a full freeway as a compromise between the two. Rail goes only to the water for now, but one day could be extended.

The highway is now complete with interchanges, and a base road network is laid out for future low density and agricultural development.

It's hand crafted. I mixed together in photoshop different regions using the greyscales images. Most of the mountains are from @drunkapple's Hiroshima and @NHP team Kyoto. The base river is hand made based on real life Fukushima city. The "lake" top right comes from @drunkapple's Hokkaido map.

Quick update on my Hebron region.  Year is now 350 and population has grown to 1.4 million.  With the compromise reached in 325 between developers and environmentalists, now known as the Hillside Law,  more green space has been used up. However there still remains vast tracks of hilly green space.  The downtown has seen robust growth of skyscrapers and many areas have increased in density (thanks to the Hillside Law).  My goal is to reach 1.5 million and add MMP details, then call the region 'finished'.

That looks a very pretty landscape, and I like how the rivers flow and meander around. The flora blasting goes well too with how the pine trees cover the hills.

I find it really cool also to think through cities in a role play way, because that helps to explain how certain aspects take shape. It also inspires how to go about development too when following a story. Realising what seems realistic in how the early explorers pioneered the way for the centuries ahead.

This is the current state of my test region (set up so that I have sufficient population/demand and mix of industry, residential and commercial, etc to emulate how most people might play) to test bats before releasing them....

Built this relatively small city some time last year. I prefer doing master planned symmetrical cities, they always produce a satisfying result. It isn't exactly finished but it's fine the way it is. May revisit in the future and expand towards the edge of the region.

This is my current progress on the very large region of San Fransico Bay.  I love this region because it has a mix of everything from Oceans, rivers, bays, Mountains, plains, and hills.  While I have never been to California, I try naming the city tiles to what they would be in real life and have similar populations, highway and rail systems, and somewhat zones.  This is the North East side of the bay which starts out as farmland following the 101 freeway in Marin County all the way to I580 bridge (line in SE corner).  Currently the population sits at 161,000.

Yes. I know I had issues with my last computer not being able to handle it after I had so much built.  The uploader said you should make sure you have at least 8GB of RAM.  It is really my favorite region I have found.  Though, I do love Maxis Fairview.

My region has grown a bit since the last post on the previous page. So far one tile has been completely finished and two more are at 90% done.

I'm removing some of the FAR avenues or railways mainly in urban areas where I can. Reason is, while in the region view it looks really good, down there in the cities it's a nightmare to develop properly.

The seaport is subject to change still... Although I don't have much space there are still some stuff I want to put in it.

What are your computer specs that allow such a massive region, if you don't mind?
