That Motel 8 is looking amazing! Got a request, how about a nice big truckstop? Pumps, scales, truck wash, a restaurant. You could go for the midwest kind and throw a bunch of little chain food places, like ICBY.

I am also starting my first hotel/motel in a while.  It's a Super 8 Motel.  Meant for the low end consumer.  I may do a couple of this genre, then move up the price ladder some.  Once this is ready, I'll also start updating my older lots, so all the hotels will be of the same caliber.

I'll also have to figure out a custom parking lot, as the available ones won't line up with this design.

Not to add to your deluge of requests, but what other hotels have you planned?  I think a Red Roof or Days Inn to go along with this one would seem to be good ideas.

 

I salute you for sticking to your guns on the whole Walmart morass.  America just needs more people like you!

Once this is ready for modding, I will stop batting for a couple days and update the older hotels.  I'm coming up with a new query for the hotel series (actually, it's not even started yet, but the thought process is...lol).  Once all of them are up to date, I'm thinking of doing a small, 12 to 15 room dirt poor one.  Just for kicks.  It will be a fictional one, but ones like you see on the older highways and such.

 

After that, I will move up a bit.  A Red Roof, Days Inn or something the like.  I also still have on my to do list a La Quinta.  Then I want to do a couple resort or high end ones.  This will take a while, and probably be all I do for the next several weeks.

Hey if you do update them can you make them replace file?...because wow those file will be hard to find and then delete..(i am not speakig for my self i know theres people out there that would like it to replace.)

That motel is looking good... reminds me of the one in my town, right off the interstate....

 

Anyway, I hate to add to the long list of requests, but could you release a gmax scene with some of the roof junk you've used?  Especially the HVACs you used for Costco.  'Cause I suck at making roof junk.

For roof junk these days, I pretty much make new ones for each project, so they are part of it. There are a few older ones that I use on occasion, but they are the same ones everyone else uses. On the costco, the big ones are literally just boxes with textures applied that give the impression of multiple panels.

You mentioned making another low-scale hotel like Super 8... I think that a Motel 6 would be pretty cool to see in one of my cities.

They're pretty popular... most of them have that teal/white color scheme.





And I'd love to see a pool with that Super 8

Here's a little something I threw together last night, for a dirt cheap, low income roadside motel.  I think it will be ok for release on Monday.

 

Thanks Swamper!  I have the Best Western update ready, and am working on a couple more.  The vans fit in very nicely.
