hey, give'em a brake, did you not see how many things he has already made for the BAT exchange. These request are what keeps people from doing what they want to do. Just wait awhile until he catches up to the demand of retail lots, which is too much.

 

EDIT: can you look into the sim world auto thread and see if you can make any custom queries? We need Batters too.

I wouldn't mind helping out with other projects, but my time is already too limited.  I've cut back to one or two projects a week, and it may have to go to one.  I'll check out the thread, and MAYBE I can help with a couple basic queries, but extra BATs I won't have time for...

At least i didnt ask for ANOTHER retail store or a restaurant...lol! I was thinking that the requests should go into another direction, like industrial bat buildings or schools. I am not trying to end all requests altogether though...

I think it is cool how ST goes through revolutions:

1. Skyscraper revolution

2. Suburban retail/restaurant revelution: going on now...

3. the industrial revolution is near...

Wow, one or two a week.  I can't even get one out in two weeks!    Granted mine may be bigger, but it's the little ones where detail matters.

 

Seeing as I'm one of the ones who sidetracked you back into the commercial business, I have to say you're doing a great job.  My only request is that you keep finding the time to keep releasing these things!

Well, it's amazing how fast a project can go when you've already done it once.  I rebuilt the whole Outback in about 3 hours....

 

I even made a few minor improvements, which I like better.  Pending anything weird in render, this should be ready for Monday.

Probably not tonight, the STEX still seems to be refusing new entries.  Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

I love a sense of humor!  There are actually one or two on that least that I am considering.  I'm not telling which ones, ha!

 

Tried again this morning, no luck.  I sent a PM to Dirk, in case he is unaware of the problem.  It's always bad to assume these things...

 

EDIT : As of 3:15 PM EST, I still can't upload.  There are several new lots on the STEX, but I am getting errors still.  Page cannot be displayed after I hit submit.  I guess I'll try later tonight.

Well, the lots should be available on the STEX, by the time anhyone reads this.  Dirk got the problem sorted out, so hopefully, no other delays will happen :

 

IMPORTANT : I had an incoming email caught, that contained a virus.  It was addressed from Info@Simtropolis .  I spoke to Dirk, and this is NOT a valid email address, and did NOT origonate on his server.  Appearantly, the virus in question trolls your address book, and replicates itself to everyone in it, and acts as if it was sent by an address there as well.

 

The catch is (I think), only a limited number of people have the email address I use here ( Simgoober@cox.net ), which leads me to believe that someone using this site has the virus.  I would advise everyone to make sure their Virus software is up to date, and scan your system just for principal.

While playing in my test city, I thought there should be some smaller commercial lots as well.  I made a few kiosk type buildings, for 1x1 lots, to fill in the blanks.  They are a little larger than they would be in RW, but this way you can see at least a little detail...

Hah, yeah they are a little large, aren't they.  The cars don't even reach the drive thru windows.   But the size is necessary and it's consistant with Maxis' practice of making small buildings and props larger.

We have a Java Hut in downtown Calgary (although I've never been to it myself. I hate coffee, and it takes an hour to get downtown).
