criticism is what makes the greatest BATters great, but i wish simgoober would come back to see how much the community misses him. also, just one question. How could anyone find somthing worth criticizing in Simgoobers work? hes definetely one of the best BATters ever.

Um, i have a question. i have downloaded alot of your lots. however, this lot and a few others, wont show up in the game i have installed them into my plugins folder under mydoc/simcity/plugins. the lot and a few other ones, wont even show up in any of the menues in the game. does you or anyone know how to solve this problem? any help would be greatly apreciated.

SG, Thanks for all the wonderful BATs. I have been downloading some of your BATs and it suits me very well...

By the way, does anyone know where I can get SG's Plantation Villas? I need it as a dependency for one of BLS's Farms in the BSC Exchange. I have been running around STEX to salvage it, but in vain... It would be great to get some help. Thank you in advance.

I've downloaded a few SG commercial lots but when I click on the building, I don't get the little building description where it says how many jobs, whether it's powered and watered, desirability factors, etc.

Ploppable residential buildings won't work, so there is no sence in making them ploppable.

I downloaded the wonderful Park Set and also the Community Pools set. They appear in the menu and plop down fine except the parking lot for the pools doesn't show up, instead it is a grass area. On the park set, the narrow paths do not have a grass outline, instead the entire tile is textured with the path brick texture. I have downloaded and installed the dependencies. Thanks!

You are missing a texture pack, SG used these textures alot. I can't remember where the mega pack is.

As BlueBeard pointed out SimGoober has gone back to RL at this time siiiiiiiiigh.... But there are many of great batters out there who are looking for their next great project so if you post it there with detailed pics and information you might get luckie on it.....

I am new to customizing my game. I have downloaded SimGoobers public pool pack and his Simswim area. His Simswim area is a award that requires R$$ residents and 3 of his previously released pools. My problem is that I have me the need requirements and I still have not unlocked the SimSwim arena. I did download the right pools. Could someone help me?

Ok, time to dust off this old thread, and sort out a few things...

Seeing as I decided to come back to SimTrop, and start uploading out of the blue, I figured it was past time I let everyone know what's going on...

I left SimTrop a couple years ago, for various reasons.  Mostly, I forget what they were... lol.

For a while I quit SC4 all together, then came back a little, then had a computer melt down and left again.  A few months ago I got a new computer, and started back up.  I re-entered the BSC site, re-aquainted with some old friends, made some new and moved forward.  They all hung out at SC4D, and I started going there as well.  All the time in the back of my head was this number hanging over my head... 282...  the number of uploads I had here at SimTrop.

I don't like weird numbers, I like things simple.  I started thinking, I should upload a few more to get to a nice round number, say 300.  But I never got motivated to do it.

Then Pegasus also started uploading to the STEX again (he quit for a while as well), and started approaching my upload number.  I laughed, and got teased by a few friends. "uh oh Goob, you're gonna get knocked off that throne!".. Not that I was the first one there, others had been up there higher than I was, then left for other reasons.

So in a way, Pegasus got me "inspired" to do it again.  And I'll admit, it was a little fun playing tug of war with the top spot.  For a bit.

Then the comments start to come out again,"Do it MY way, not YOUR way".  stuff like that.  And I remembered why I left those years ago...  Comments that keep it from being fun.  And this IS all about fun ...

So my intention is (and really always was) to get to the 300 mark, and quietly retire again.  I have half a dozen more projects nearly complete (a few are complete, but I'll space them out a bit more).  I'll hit 300 probably in the next week or so.  After that... I haven't a clue.  I may continue a bit, or not.  Figure that out when the time comes.

As to who gets there first,  just remember, "Who is on First?  Yep.  Who is?  Yes, he is."

Anyway, welcome back nice to see you around in case we didn't say that enough in your uploads. I do hope you hang around past 300, but that is a good number to go out with. There is a lot of BAT activity going on over here, half dozen or so new BATers popping up in only a few months (including myself), and now you come back too.

I really think it is fun, and I hope it stays that way. Best of luck,
