About This File

UPDATED Income generating high prestige medical complex. It now provides more jobs: 70-$, 250-$$. 135-$$$; this is in addition to the doctors. It also now provides 10,000 demand cap relief at each of the three levels R$, R$$, & R$$$ (total relief = 30,000).

It still requires 1200 in funding to pay Doctors and ambulances, but produces 3000 in revenue for a net balance of 1800 ( a little less if you increase the funding for doctors and ambulances, more if you decrease funding). The income appears as "Medical City" in the Business Deals table, the costs appear under health care expenses. It consumes 200 power, 1300 water, has a capacity of 30,000 patients, covers the entire city, boosts HQ 12.52, and costs 75,000 to plop. The plop cost and other values can be easily changed to suit your own preferences with ilive's Reader.

I liked the lot, but when I place it in my city, it just looks like a normal hospital. What should I do?

You need to have the following file: "bldgprop_vol1.dat" in Program Files/Maxis/SimCity4/Plugins for this lot to display properly. I don't recall where I got it - if you can't find it in the Mods section I can email it to you (it's a little over 300K)

My apologies: you can download the bldgprop_vol1.dat file from Maxis (simcity.ea.com) - click on "Lot Editor".

Hey, thanx a lot for the help. I finally fixed the problem. Thank you for finally giving me a straight answer to, instead of all of the 'run around' I was getting.

change cost to 10000$ and downgrade radius .. because it covers all of my city even without the ambulance funding

In theory, Health Quotient should increase only high-wealth sims should - middle class won't be able to afford the hospital, and the poor will be angry about it. Sorry for being so fussy. The building looks good however.
