on my large map city with 25k population, industries and commercial... about 80% growable and 20% plopped, tons of trees and tons of flora. my city takes no longer then 20-30secs to save, i never counted it but i know it never takes like a min . Gateway laptop NV53 series Win 7 64bit home premium AMD athlon X2 II dual core M300 2.0Ghz 4Gb ram ATI Radeon Mobility 4200 HD with 256Mb dedicated. running SC4 in 1366x768x16 window mode, Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode and "run as admin" checked. latest updates/drivers for entire system and also running latest version of AMD's dual core optimizer. also my plugins folder is less then 500Mb so im not using that many plugins

the ploppable industries do product jobs, and growable residential sims do infact travel to them to work. the only thing the ploppable industries does not work is the freight truck trips.. when you query it it doesnt show the freight truck trip.....

if after years of playing someone didnt know how to do a diagonal road... then should probably play something else. you can do it without the shift key too, just drag your road uh, diagonally..

thats basically what i got too, my city is 27yrs old and i've only plopped a few residential buildings in certain areas that i wanted that area to look a certain way and though they never find work, they never abandon or nothing, the residents always stay. i wonder if it has to do with the fact that im using the super demand mod though??? in any case thanks for the infor.. i do believe that these plopped buildings also add to population, reason i say that is i had about 13,000 residents in my city and for the hell of it i went and started plopping a bunch of high rise residential buildings not only from the maxis library but from user created bats/lots and sure enough my population jumped to 18,000. i of course destroyed the buildings cause i was just experimenting with something at the time.. at least the commercial and industrial plopped buildings provided jobs and growable residentials sims actually do travel to them to work there!.

so odd, for some reason i always sore it worked back when the RCI plop mod was released.............at least my plopped residential buildings and houses dont go abandon (which is another thing i dont understand, how do they not go abandon if they can find a job?, i can be several years and the sims are still living in the house if it "?" it. oh well.

I got a bunch downloaded over at sc4devotion.com .. i couldnt find none on here. i have peanut farms, tobacco, mellows, corn, wheat.. etc..

wasnt exactly sure where to post this. My questions is regarding ralphealninjas RCI ploppable final on th STEX, everything works fine except that when i plopp residentials the "?" which shows job transit never works. on the lot it ALWAYS says "Workers/Commuters: none" yet sims are living in it and they NEVER leave (aka none of my plopped RCI residentials buildings have gone abandon). when i plopp commercial buildings everything works. sims (growable residential buildings) can travel to these lots and work. is there a patch to fix this issue with sims living in plopped residential buildings having no jobs yet the building doesnt go abandon nor do the sims move out NOR does it give me the "no job" icon...

nevermind.. i figured it out. my native screen is 1366x768, no higher. i was running the game 1280x1024, that would explain why it couldnt do window mode. i'm just gonna try a customer resolution. now that i remember too, it was working before when i had it set to 1024x768.. it all makes sense now lol

can anyone tell me where this building is on the STEX or anywhere http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/30_St_Mary_Axe it use to be on the STEX years ago cause i remember downloading it like 5yrs ago, but i cannot find it for the life of me. [Merged into Can't Find it? Look here!]

anyone figure this out for windows 7 64bit? i have tried all suggestions and nothing works, it always goes to full screen no matter what!. i even tried multiple times deleting the short cut and redoing a new one and trying over and nothing works.
