About This File

Very similar to the PEG Random Woods lots, the Pine Forest collection focuses on a look more suitable for mountain areas and higher elevations.

It also uses new BAT modeled trees for greater realism than provided by the in-game trees. Like the Random Woods lots, the Pine Forest includes multiple styles with a 1x1 & 2x2 lot for each style.

In addition to the fully textured ground and transparent ground styles, a third semi-transparent style is included. The semi transparent style is easily the best looking and most flexible to use... but is effected by the game's graphics overlay bug. It is included only for those players who are willing to deal with this issue. (see Developers Notes Below)

The Pine Forest is PEG tested & Tree-Hugger approved. Each lot has properties similar to a small green park with slightly improved air pollution qualities.

These lots are also 'Slope Conforming' so you can place them almost anywhere.

Excellent, a pine forest for me, Pineporch! You don't know how badly I wanted this when I first saw it at the Peg Productions website. Muchos gracias for having decided to [re]release your work on the STEX!

I have a question ... if the package depends on the DEV Pack as indicated then this is just lots with props on ... why is the package still so big ?

@Vlakhaas: Well, it's 6 different lots, a readme, a (large) screenshot and the installer, that makes about 500 kB, I guess (I haven't downloaded this version, but the one from PEG's site).

The installer version is 83k larger than a MAX compression ZIP archive. (no big whoop) Each of the 3 style DATs (containing 2 lots each) is approx 100k. The product image is approx 100k also... and the readme is 12k. Lot files contain mostly compressed files so they don't further compress much.

Oops, sorry, dumb question. Peg I was wondering if you could add a version without rocks in your update? The rocks seem to clutter up my mountain slopes. Thanks.

I'm having a problem with these lots: The base texture and stuff is there when I plop it, but no trees. I thought I just needed to wait a while like the seasonal trees, but I waited over a year and still no trees. What's the problem?
