They look nice but my sims keep leaving them due to commute time, even when built next to ind or com. What am i doing wrong.

You can't build ploppable RES. The game won't calc the commute times and the lot will abandon. Same for COM & IND... the game won't calc the customers for COM or the freight distances for IND. COM & IND ploppables won't abandon as easily... but still might do so.
