About This File

Standing among the more conventional architectural designs that inhabit the Dallas skyline, the 50-story Reunion Tower presents a startling, incongruous contrast to the first-time visitor and a familiar landmark to residents.

Perched atop a unified stalk of four cylinders, the lighted, geodesic dome at the top of the tower is the focal point. The dome is most noticeable at night when a computer system gives life to nearly 300 lights, programmed to shine statically or flash in patterns.

Glass elevators with views to the outside, located in each of the three outer shafts, stop at the lofty three-level dome. The first level is called The Lookout. For a small fee you can access the 360-degree outdoor viewing deck. One floor up is Antares, an upscale, New American restaurant. The Dome Lounge on the third level offers drinks, hor d'oeuvres and dancing.

The restaurant and lounge make slow, continuous revolutions every 55 minutes, giving you a 360-degree view while you dine or party in the sky.
