About This File

Submenus, icons .. and more ...

1.. Basic Icons Replacements.
This package provides a replacement file for the submenu icons provided by Memo's Submenus-DLL. ( 2.0.0 +)
Place the [z_scoty_Submenu-DLL_IconsCover] folder in your Plugins\ directory. It can, of course, be placed directly in the directory provided by Submenus-DLL. Or accompany the scoty_submenus_gen\ dir’ described below. All replacement icons are part of the collection provided and described below.

2.. Scoty Submenus
To adopt, to adapt, or simply for inspiration...
The [scoty_Submenus_Gen] directory offers a set of pre-built submenus (exemplar, icon, ...) which complements and relies on those of the Subemnus-DLL. Place it in your Plugins\ folder.
The proposed structure is, of course, arbitrary and may not suit everyone. It’s based on suggestions from RSC204 and other players, as well as my own analysis of years of gameplay and the content of STEX, SC4E. It attempts to cover many areas from the outset but remains a work in progress. As the attached (Scoty_Submenu_tree.pdf) tree diagram shows, I’ve integrated and offered two useful submenu groups as options, if you haven’t already installed the plugins they come from:
z_opt_CAM_SbMn\ - CAM-NEON (v4+) submenus.
z_opt_Airport_SbMn\ - «Ultimate Airport Pack» (SC4E) submenus.
All that’s left is to « populate » them ...
For an overview, see the PDF: Scoty_Submenu_tree.pdf

3.. The Scoty Icons Collection
In the [Scoty_SubMenus_Collection] dir., you’ll find 186 PNGs files [176x44px] prepared as submenu icons. Identical to that of the replacement set. These icons cover all the available [scoty_submenus_gen\]. A few variations are already available, and I may add more over time, depending on my preferences and your requests. Their names are fairly self-explanatory, but they can also be used for other purposes … enjoy!
You can select these files in the «Create new Submenu» section of the «sc4 cli Tool» by smf_16 (see STEX)… easy! Or by integrating them via «Reader».
This collection doesn’t need to be in your SC4 Plugins folder. Drop it elsewhere!

4.. Icons Masks
For your convenience, I’m providing PNGs of «Masks» to create your own submenu icons, either identical to this collection (tab01) or with one of the variants. Or just to inspire the most creative..

Icons 100% by Natural Intelligence and pixels raised in the open air!

@carlosmarcelo I'm glad you like it, and it's not a big deal, it's not that long to do when I've come up with the general idea for an icon. *;) ..I love doing that! Don't hesitate to suggest topics.

Do both, #1 and # files have to be installed? Or optional? I'm trying to trouble shoot why your parkin lot sets and agricultural paths don't show up in submenus. Thanks!

And... for the attention of other potential users... *;)
@monicadm -- Regarding the "Scoty Modular Parking" v.1.3 plugin: the lots will appear in the [Misc Transport] submenu: [Parking...] that the DLL-Submenu installs. This applies whether or not you install this plugin (Scoty Submenus & Icons Collection) !
For my plugin [Scoty Field Paths & Hedges] - in particular - you need to install "Scoty Submenu" (**), or at worst, retrieve/keep one of the files: [ submenu-rural-fillers.dat ], and thus see this sub-submenu appear in the "Fillers" submenu installed by the DLL.
I hope this answers your questions?

-- Note that the "Scoty Submenus & Icons Collection" ZIP file contains a PDF showing the submenu hierarchy! The annotations and colors should be fairly self-explanatory. This makes it easy to link it to the provided [.dat] files!

-- ** ... You'll see that the set of submenus offered by Scoty-Submenu — which aligns with various initiatives from other players/modders and the analysis of STEX and SC4E (ex LEX) — opens up possibilities for integrating existing plugins. I know this isn't, and never will be, a solution to the hundreds of possible variations: each player has their own perspective on the necessary "sections" and display level.
