Nice! It's a cool building, but just wondering, isn't hydrogen power atomic fusion? Oh well, whether it is or not, your building is very cool looking and functional!

How should I know ? I am not a scientist... Seriously, I jsut whipped it together because I was tired of abandonment due to power outages so I wanted to make something that would ensure that wouldn't happen again.

If you want to PM me with a more interesting and scientifically factual description I would be glad to use it.

Very cool look! I love the night glow, but why does the metal ring glow at night? Btw, some people forget that no matter how real it may look, this is still just a game, and lots like this are always great additions!

I don't know that a "fusion reactor" (spoken in imitation Dr. Evil while making quotations with fingers) would glow green like that but I thought it looked cool.

Ohh Fusion!Mini stars!VERY POWERFUL!I hope they make a big bang when it explode hehe. Basically they are squeezing and heating hydrogen, fusion reactors on earth will use deuterium and tritium, heating them over 100 million degrees, they are having trouble with the magnetic containment they use lol

i just learned this in science class, and what really confuses me is that when fusion occurs, one element changes to another, helium changes to hydrogen...anyone have help on why this is like this?

Two hydrogen atoms stick together and make one helium molecule. Anyway, this building is really cool! Gone forever are the city's power problems.

Good for the low cost and the enormous amount of energy available. I don't know why but the plant does not look like your pic... Is there a bug or something ?

Just downloaded, still have to try this out... but fission (splitting atoms apart) is the current nuclear technology, which is why large atoms like U are used. In fusion, you are doing the reverse - taking smaller atoms and joining, or fusing, them together. Right now I think it's only possible under intense amounts of heat (ie the sun could do it, the rest of us schmucks not so much), so scientists are busy looking for cold fusion techniques. There's your scientific description, I guess :)

Going to try this. As for descrip what is currently being attempted is fusion generation using what is called a Tomahawk reactor which is basically a torus, doughnut shapped, assembly of electromagnets to create the containment field. To be continued as there is a limit on characters

Continuation: Using H2 and H3 does require extreme temp generated by laser or microwave and there is even an attempt using electricity through a wire mesh. However, what would make it less expensive and require less heat is the usage of he3. By using He3 you don't get the nasty neutron radiation you get with the current reaction, and it also doesn't require the intense heat. The problem with He3 is that there are no decent quantities on Earth. You have to go to the moon to get it.

Continuation: Hence the reason they suddenly want to go back so bad and establish a permanent base and other countries suddenly want to go there as well. Money!! Not to mention the power that will come from being the ones to control the He3 reserves.
