About This File

A heavy lift terminal with 800t cranes to load components of wind turbines for the wind industry in SimCity4.

Heavy-Lift-Terminal-preview-8.png

This File contains several props and 2 lots:

  • A_1P_SP_Dock_3x6-HeavyLiftTerminal_atwork
  • A_1P_SP_Dock_3x6-HeavyLiftTerminal

The lots are using the PEG CDK3 Sea Port Waterfront - Style. At this post other lots are listed that go well together with the WindIndustry Port lots.

Dependencies
PEG-CDK3-SP_SEAPORT_SUPER-PAK.dat
PEG_ChainLinkFence_RESOURCE.dat
A_1P WindIndustry Port Pack-1.1

Thanks to the simtropolis and sc4devotion community for support and advice. Additionally, I thank the Heretic Seaport Project team, for providing the base lots and UI design.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated and I might do a v1.1 if I have some responses.

Released

V1.1:
All props have been re-rendered in HD and the pack now contains 2 files:
• A_1P_WindIndustry-HeavyLiftTerminal 1.1_Props.dat
• A_1P_WindIndustry-HeavyLiftTerminal 1.1_Lot.dat
If you used v 1.0 you will have to delete the lots in your cities (before or after installing this pack does not matter) and rebuild them unfortunately, sorry for that.

Wow. Nice and much needed crane models.

Although I have one complain. The reason why I need to release an extra original PEG prop pack in the future (and partially why I spent weeks and months with the reorganisation of the WMP prop packs) because he did use the same  method like you and put the models and lot files into the same DAT file. I know it's a really convenient method and files don't get lost easily like that, but it's also very unflexible when we are talking about reusing those props.

I see you made your additions compatible with the PEG original style (which is great), but I would not use it, because that's why I created the Heretic Seaports. But I like your models and would use them as dependencies, but it would make my seaport menu even more crowded, with lots what I don't want to use. Of course, for my own use I would be able to cut the models out into separate pack, it is an easy task, but I would like to ask you to release the models/props separately from the lots, or if you would release eventually just the models and props in a prop pack for lotters, that would also work for me.

Anyhow. Really nice to see an other BAT creator on board with making industrial stuffs. Thanks for making and sharing it!
