About This File

The Cobb Royale:

A high-wealth residential growable building housing 749 sims.

Reward your sims' hard work and high education by allowing them to

move on up to the Cobb Royale. Sims will enjoy the high life in the

Royale: strolling through the gardens, relaxing on one of the terraces,

or taking a dip in either the rooftop pool, or the indoor pool on the

21st floor. The Cobb Royale adds a nice accent to either a modern or

a classical skyline, particularly at night.

[THIS IS VERSION 2. 4/29/04. I grouped the windows and lit/unlit them as whole apartments, rather than purely at random. Also lowered the intensity. Fixed another small problem (with indoor pool).]

1) In SimCity4 RushHour, zone an area of 4x3 high-density residential.

2) Just play!

Read the readme file included for installation instructions and notes.

Notes:

* Be sure you have installed all the latest updates to Simcity4 RushHour.

This will ensure that the building appears and functions correctly, and

lights up at night.

* Thanks to many contributors at Simtropolis who are helping me to

improve my BAT skills.

Thank you everyone, for all your supportive and helpful comments. I hope you enjoy the Cobb Royale!

Ohh my God Cobb, this is so beautiful!!!! One small request - night lights may be a little dimmed, otherwise you loose the fabulous effect and artistic beautyof this building. Wont penalize you, you deserve 10/10!!!

Beautiful building, my only suggestion is the night lighting needs to be dimmed ( i dont even know if this is possible) Residential in highrises is usually more subdued than in an office building at night

This one's really nice. In my opinion, it's your best one yet. Does anyone have any tips for ways to encourage certain growables to appear? I'd really like to have Cobb's hotel next to my convention center.

another marvelous building by cobb. the nitelites do look strange though. try unlighting half the windows then relighting half of the remaining ones with a lower intesity. try increasing the opacity value of the windows on the lower section so it does not look just like an atrium.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Criticisms most welcome and appreciated. I'm never offended at all. One small, friendly suggestion...please be sure to post in the BAT forum before render. Had almost identical night-like pic up for 2 days and no one said anything about it.

Another cobb original to add to my collection, excellent. I think the glass reflections are excellent and the sign over the foye canopy is a nice touch, great work.

Nice job, If you could turn on some nice moods setting lights at the indoor pool at night it would be completed
