Large Elementry School  1.0

About This File

I made this model as for something to have as a simple looking school with a high capacity and more realistic looking in size. I was going to render it with basement windows I had done up for it to show off the basement level but could not get it to render correctly. Regardless The school has 5 Levels to it, this includes the basement level.

I wanted to actually have the school give back a little bit of power the school dose not use to the grid but with no power option I could not do so but if someone knows how I can modify that part of it please P.M. me.

The school has a capacity of 3000 Students and 3299 When fully maxed out just like the Maxis school but more realistic in size.

The lot size is the same as maxis 4 wide and 3 deep.

Stats are same as Maxis with the following exceptions:

Radius has been brought up to that of the Large Maxis High school

115 Employes to make it more realistic instead of The 32 Maxis provides.
And to match it. It will increase the demand for 92 R$ Residents and 23 R$$ Residents.

-No dependance on other files.
-All files are included in this download. The model, lot and Description file.

-Feel free to modify as you need for your game play.

-Note: There are lights that are suppose to come on for the windows at night, however I am unable to get the model to do so for me. Sorry if they don't work for you too.

If any problems let me know.

If anyone can't make a bigger lot for it and wishes to have one let me know with a P.M. and I will do so. Everyone usually wants things small though.

I am going to leave this new section at the bottom to address any comments.

-In regards to the scale. It is a little bit over scaled in height. Not like maxis but then they are way over and I hate ridiculously over-scaled buildings. It only seems to be on the schools this is the case because other buildings are scaled fine.

So if you got a problem with my building witch is scaled just fine, then don't download it.

- To address the second comment on the solar panels. They are solar panels, they are placed on the flat because it allows for not having to have them pivot as the sun changes direction. On the flat they will collect sun all day.

The BAT is good, however, there are still some problems. The lotting could use some work, in the back you kind of just have a bunch of stuff scattered around, and what's with the roof? It's kind of repetitive, don't you think? I'll rate this a 3/5

No I don't think the roof is repetitive. Those are solar panels. Maybe I forgot to mention that. As for the lot fell free to change it as you like. All the files are included in the download.

The only "bad thing" about the school is the too small backyard. However because I can change it with the Lot Editor, I'll give a 4.5/5 :golly:

I know that backyard is tiny but in the past people have complained about the lots I have done being too big. So I have gone the smaller route this time. Eliminated the large lot and made it so it's the same size as the maxis lot.

A small lot is easy enough to expand with grass tiles, basketball courts, soccer field... etc, so I don't think that is a problem.

I do suggest that you swap your screenshots, and use one without the no access zot.

I think the main problem is the scale, the floor height looks unrealistic. Those solar panels also don't look like anything I have seen in real life...

I didn't even consider that those were solar panels. Aren't solar panels usually at a slant? And do they actually provide power to the school, or are they just for show? You also can't just expect people to change the lot up how they like. Some people have no clew how to use the Lot Editor, or are not willing to download it just to edit one lot. Some people can't even get the Lot Editor to work on their computer. The lot should always be just as good as the BAT.

thank you I like this building people can always plop grass lots and sports parks around it to expand the lot if they want to. you don't need to use the lot editor for that.

This isn't bad, but what is the exact lot size? It seems too small (look at how big the 'NO ACCESS' sign is to the rest of the lot!!) Those solar panels are indeed repetitive, visually it will only bring down your entire work if this is correctly scaled with a larger lot size. Other than that, it seems well made in general. No rating from me, keep trying.

Nicely Done.I was thinking they were solar panels, you should change them a bit maybe have them set at a slight angle upward.^_^

Love the lot; at first sight I recognized the solar panels; maybe a little bit of cosmetic work will enhance the overall rating 4,5/5
