Transparent Power Utilities
By Craig-Abcvs

This pack contains two lots, that are designed to power lots in remote areas that use effects or props that require power. The lots have no visible props or buildings and have a transparent base... when plopped nothing will be visible. Nada, nothing, zilch. This is to allow terrain detailing with any MMP Flora of your choice.

The Transparent Transmission Utility lots can be used to bring power from anywhere in the tile without spoiling the look of your pristinely detailed wilderness with transmission towers or visiable power stations.

Turn on the power view in your Mayor menu and then evenly space the transmission lot across your tile to where you need the power. The power will now extend two grid squares around the transmission lot. Place the next lot two grid squares away from the green power view edge, and so on.
The only problem is invisible base textures always become completely black
Sorry, that is not correct :-) The 'black holes' (aka WaterBug) only happen when the lot is made the wrong way - namely, the base texture was removed, but not the overlay texture. In other words - do not use overlays on "transparent" lots.

Then explain to me why it still became completely black. Not even after saving or something, but instantly after being plopped.

I don't know if others have the same problem, but the only way they work for me is when they are plopped on a completely flat square. When placed on uneven terrain, they will, when there's room, flatten that tile (making mountains look strange) or when there's no room they will show retaining walls and become completely black.

I cannot explain that because I don't know your installation and/or Plugins folder status... (deluxe, RH, official updates, plus the mix of CC).

* Might be interesting to run some tests with empty Plugins, then adding cc in chunks to see if the erratic behavior is caused by some other item...

Rest assured though, that a (properly made) "transparent" lot should not cause the waterbug... I'm using 100s of them (literally, playing mainly rural style) and I don't have a single black hole in my universe.
For now I will just plop it on flat ground only then.
Ah, okay - now I get it... Sorry, didn't think far enough :-) Yes, the lots must be made slope conforming as well, so they don't break out a foundation.

You can fix it in LE or Reader by setting e.g.

Foundation Threshold: 90
Elevation Change LotMax: 40

* Or else -I'm sure Craig will make another update,too...

I get not only the black base, but also the default "background" gridline texture, depending on what zoom I'm using. :(

I am finally downloading these. I do not remeber if I commented Craig's thread, so I thank you and give these lots 5/5 for keeping my campfires burning.

They are the pine trees from "Pegasus" and his MTP-Mountain Theme Pack.

All the files have been moved over here from his closed site, thankfully!

In the "ST Exchange", open the "PLEX" to find a HUGE amount of content from Pegasus.

There are a few "pine" files available, old pines, pine clusters, God Mod, etc.

All the MTP downloads work great with his SPAM stuff too!

I encourage you to spend some time checking out all the wonderful content available in "PLEX".

Here is the Mayor Mod Pine Tree Mod that will help you get started.
