About This File
When your nation bought fighters, it was looking to put it's best pilots in the most cutting-edge fighters available. But that was many years ago and those same planes have lost their edge as well as starting to show their age. Its about time to upgrade, and two productive nations have each offered you to try 5 types of their fighters.
Built in the United States of America, you have legends and veterans including:
F-14 Tomcat
F-15 Eagle
F-16 Fighting Falcon
F/A-18 Hornet
and the new F-35 Lighting.
And if those planes don't fit your taste or budget, Mother Russia has to offer:
MiG-21 Fishbed
MiG-25 Foxbat
MiG-29 Fulcrum
MiG-1.44 Flatpack
and the SU-47 Berkut
Most of these jets have been combat proven with outstanding results while some have not seen combat yet but can sure as hell scare your enemies. Some of the planes in this pack while originally designed for air supremacy have also been modified to drop unguided bombs (who needs lasers and other hi-tech toys when you can kick butt the old fashioned way). Enjoy the new planes, and remember to use them for legitimate purposes!
About the Upload
Each of the mods in this file will replace the default mutant splice of a jet (F-4, and F-20 and SU-27) with whatever file is used. You have a variety of aircraft to choose from; to install a jet, just copy and paste the .DAT file into your plugins folder and the file overrides the original fighter.
There are three catches, though:
1-You can install only one at a time, putting in all of them at once will either cancel out eachother or worse (possible game crashes, messed up textures)
2-While this is a complete package, there is an optional dependency (see below)
3-The wings on the F-14 don't move. Realistically, they wouldn't move anyway since the jet goes too slow in the game.
Dependencies?
It's optional, but it's recommended. To drop bombs, you must have the LUA files created for Dolphinfox's A-10 and A-6 pack (created by Fanta1990) found here. This little file will allow unlimited bomb drops against everything.
Additional Notes
The models were all made by me, using Milkshape 3D. Almost all textures were found by searching Google Images. The MiG-1.44 uses textures that were borrowed from Command and Conquer Generals by EA Games. The .DAT files were edited from srainy's F-22 and simplified to an extent where it is relatively easy to edit for novice modders.
