Description:

This style OF high-rise Apartment is very common in chinese City

this building is one of residential building from Tianjin

 

Need Aera:6*6 (At least have two roads around building)

Building type:High-density Residential Medium Wealth

 

This building is my second sc4model,my first isn't good enough to show it on International web site,so,i didn't updata to ST,i only updata on SimCity.cn,and,Thanks all guys from SimCity China for their help!

Very realistically rendered and textured (Like a lot of stuff from SCC) and it looks fantastic by itself or surrounded by itself, though it'll look a little washed out compared to a lot of other buildings in SC4 because of that (Maxis' buildings usually have their saturation a bit higher than real).

A smaller LOT could probably help as well, though that may push it into CAM territory.

I think this building could also look great when rendered in DarkNite too.

I agree that the LOT is very, very crowded, though it looks realistic.

But anyway, nice BAT! :thumb:

They look good. Yeh you are using Mental Ray - I only done that a couple of times- it does make them look a little too plastic/clean, I am also trying to figure out a way to make them look real >> http://img848.imageshack.us/img848/7771/86850366.jpg
another thing you can try is to use a texure on the glass itself - and break it up a bit

Ah. Ok, so what renderer are you using? Doesn't look like Mental Ray at all or even vray, so I'm assuming scanline?

First of all, the newest BAT4MAX package [url="https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/25391-bat4max-5/"]available on the STEX[/url] is a giant leap over scanline and makes the process of exporting from 3dsmax much easier. I'd take a look at that before you try to export anything else. [url="https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/topic/40623-bat4max-v5/"]HERE[/url]is the support/information thread.

In addition, try opening a thread in BAT open discussion so you can get more information. Most of the technical folks don't check STEX listings for situations like this.

Ok, vray has had no real luck with STEX files for the most part. Get BAT4MAX, and you should see a big difference immediately. You may need to tweak your materials to match Mental Ray, but the outcome will be much better in the end.
