DB Class 23 Steam Engine Train  1.0

About This File

During the 1950's this was the get up and go of German passenger trains. Though not an express it was capable of moving 130 tonnes at 110kph. I've modelled this based on data found around the internet. This is mostly 23 023 , a working engine in the Netherlands. Find out more from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DB_Class_23

This trainset replaces the game passenger train completely - and any other trainset at that ID. Hence put into ...\Plugins on its own i.e. no other passenger trains.

Model features moving drive wheels and smoke, and is a ripper to drive. Built entirely in Photoshop, FiSHMan and Reader - I fiddled the anims and meshes directly. Adventurous members may find this a useful basis for more steam engines.

 Enjoy Ron

P.S. if anyone knows how to articulate Engine and Tender (like a Semi Trailer Truck) please show me. This would really help realism on steam engines.

Great job - any chance you could make another upload that replaces the in-game steam engine? I'd download it but don't want to let go of my Amtrak livery just yet.

Very nice!,...In answer to your question, there isn't a way to articulate the tender on locomotives. The SC4 .exe picks a Loco, adds random rolling stock(freight OR passenger) then adds a caboose if it's a freight train. SC4 .exe treats articulated models as Loco+Caboose, AFAIK,...new data anyone?

Thankyou all for your comments and votes - very well received I can tell you. Ron Thx too North Country Dude - I was pretty sure that would be the answer. Also have the same problem with suppressing the SantaFe engine - I think its hard coded in the exe... :(
