Great idea, better than the command line option

Well, I think it's easier to add " -intro:off" to the shortcut of the game or to remove the intro.dat from the directory of the game.

Does 'intro' mean the three company movies at the beginning? If so, i removed the .mov files from there folder SimCity 4 Deluxe>SimCity 4 data>Video>all .mov for Aspyr, EA_logo, SC4Intro. this stops all those movies and goes directly to data load screen. Good idea anyway.

Hmmm, a good idea, but I use the command line modification (just like lo_bg mentioned above) to the shortcut, rather than downloading anything extra like this.

far easier and safer to use the -intro:OFF command IMHO

......and where do you put this intro:off anyways? I always forget, so this will be perfect, just don't overwrite and keep the original in a safe place

@Bison, in the sc4 shortcut, there is a dialogue with the path to the sc4 exe, you put this after it.

mrbisonm: right click on the SC4 shortcut then click on properties. Then on the path field after the " mark at the end of the path enter the switch -intro:OFF

You do realize you can completely pull the intro dat file out all together without the game messing up. One less thing to load all together then.

add-in files work well when you want to run high res and disable the movie, thanks!
