About This File

This Bat is based on the design for the 175 Greenwich Building, aka WTC tower 3, by Richard Rogers Partnership. The real building is expected to begin construction later this year ('08). It will be the third highest of the new WTC conplex, it will reach 382.6 meters to the antennas, 352.1 meters to the roof.

Landmark Only!
Installation: drag the whole folder to the plugin folder.
Dependencies: none!

Please note that the final design might change, I added extra floors to match the height and that the top is my idea of how it might look. I'll try to update should the design change.

Modeled in Blender by Cativo.

First, the lot couldn't be worse, trees and tiles only, oh geeez that is poor. I will redo it for sure. But the BAT is wonderful and well designed and nicely detailed, maybe the textures a little too light? (just wondering)

Yeah, the textures are a little light and the lot isn't great, but its still an awesome bat, the nightlights are very nice, well done!

Ah, excellent work... seems a bit too bright. I like grit, even though the building is new. 8/10, still can't ignore excellent geometry work.

As others said, modeling 10/10 (top-notch!), nightlighting 9.5/10 (equally great), but I think the textures need to be darkened quite a bit, and the lot is very boring indeed. I would love to see a v2 with darker textures and a remade lot - if you are not good at lotting, you could ask candidates to submit samples of their lot work and hand the work over to one of them. Or you could even hold a little lotting contest with your BAT, how does that sound? ;) Anyway, that's a great BAT you got there, but I feel it has even more potential. Congrats and thanks for sharing nonetheless, I hope I didn't sound too negative. :)

Thank your replies everyone! I'm at work right now, so I can't write much; could you tell me what to do to improve the lot?

Just add some more props (maxis only preferred by most of us) Could use a garbage can and maybe a bench or two, a deliveryvan, some sims....etc. If you can't because of time or of know how, come see me at my thread (https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=42&threadid=92611&STARTPAGE=2) and I'll make you a lot that'll enhance your BAT.

I would have liked to see some more variation in the textures, because the geometry is excellent but just having the one style of texture on it sort of makes it look like a plastic model to me. Excellent job with the night lighting, but not for me

This one has huge potential. Very hard to rate, given what everybody already has said. Really like to see your future work after this. You have no place to go but up with what its already quite an impressive start (surely you are not a regular uploader)! =)
