Introduction / Overview
This is a faithful recreation of the real Nakagin Capsule Tower, erected 1972 in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, by Kisho Kurokawa. This building embodied a vision of future architecture involving a static core to which individual residential or office capsules (or modules) could be attached, added, removed, joined or separated according to current demand.
As we know now, this vision didn't become true, and today the tower is in a bad state and might be torn down. A proposal to declare it a national architectural monument wasn't greeted with much enthusiasm.
Well, independently of how the real building will fare, you can now rest assured that this unique structure will stand proud in any of your cities if and as long as you like. Since mixed use isn't possible in SC4, there's a choice of several functions. In total, the following versions are available:- Ploppable landmark
- Growable CS$$ building
- Growable R$ building
Note: The icon for the landmark can be found near the bottom of your Landmarks menu, like the other HKABT ploppables.
Both growable versions sit on a 3x2 corner lot, for road placement see screenshots.
