About This File

A memorial to one of the United State's (and the world) darkest days.

Complete with 2 museums. One dedicated to the World Trade Center and one dedicated to the Pentagon. Memorials listing all the names of those lost and eternal flames beside each memorial. And a nice tree lined walking path for sims to reflect upon the tragedy.

And at night, there is two towers of light from each museum just like in NYC on the anniversaries of 9/11

$3000 plop cost

$1000 bulldoze cost

$100 monthly cost

-30 effect to air pollution with a 10 tile radius

McSquishy, have you any idea how many of the thousands that died that day are NOT of American origin? For anyone's info, i defend my country by serving in her military. Has all decisions the US government has made in the past been the right ones? NO, but i stand by my country nevertheless.

I agree with bombguy on not making this a political discussion. He made a lot. You may not agree with what he said in it but please rate the LOT, not the COMMENTS. This is a much better lot than a 3. Simmer down, yall.

I think this is a good idea. It looks good and it is respectful unlike those crappy lots which attempt to replicate the actual towers (not only do they do a bad job I find it disrespectful). This is good stuff. 9/10.

I rated this lot based on its looks and gave it an 8. It would have looked better with a variety of trees, but nice job anyway.

mcsquishy, you should be ashamed of yourself. The naivety is not in Bomguy's description, but in your post.

Hey, it's a nice lot. All you political zombies need to back off and go find a political chat(rant and rave) room.

Please, if it's one of the America's Darkes days, don't mistake it with a world's darkest days, because there where worts things than that in the past. Thanks. Nice lot though

Besides, to all anti-american critics here, the lot does not display correctly in Rush Hour. The buildings are missing and also the flags

Try downloading the flag pack and the building props from the maxis site - simcity.ea.com - that should hopefully fix any display problems.

Canada should have a flag, its helped the Americans the most by far, and 8 Canadians died.

Not sure if this is before the BAT, or not. But I have absolutely no idea where the notion of "9/11 Memorial" comes from with this lot. It look like someone just kinda threw it together, and tried to make up some sort of theme.

BTW, 9/11 is HARDLY one of the "darkest days" in the world. (Maybe in US history, but not hardly compared to the rest of the world. I can think of of many, many more events that were far worse than 9/11.)

All-in-all, I "don't get it." It would be like if I decided to take two Hampton Inns, faced them towards each other, threw a bunch of flags, benches, and fountains between them, and called it a Gettysburg Memorial Park.....just to get as many people to d/l it as possible.
