  1. I vote #3. It is located in a bay good for shipping and docks. It also has a river running right through it. In addition it has relatively flat land and a large city plot.
  2. surface water NG

This is good . I was afraid that the surface water discovery was going to die away again. I'm glad somebody is trying to refine this whole process. The color seems a little too dark compared to most water textures out there. Since this is very early I guess that doesn't matter much. How large are those water props? And how high is the water level? Like you said, eventually adding some sparkle effects would be great. Too bad the water can't be made somewhat translucent to add a feeling of depth, but of course this would also reveal everything beneath the water (good or bad). You also said you wanted the water texture to switch and match the ingame water texture, but I'm not sure how you could do that if the texture is on the model (I'm assuming). It would be great if that was possible, but the only possiblilty I can see is to have different colored water lots for different textures.
  3. The story of Beruit, New York

This bad news devestated me into seclusion for several days. Well maybe not that extreme but I didn't visit the site for awhile after hearing about the loss. My suggestion for a new journal would be to make sure that the city has a rich history and that it is fictional like Beruit. I like how you had made up a city and tied it into history. I would like that as a future journal (plus there's more room for stretching the truth ).
  4. The story of Beruit, New York

Great new twist for Beruit. I like how you brought Millard Fillmore to the city as a lawyer. Even if no battles reach Beruit, I'm sure there will be plenty of controversy in the city to excite everyone. I can't wait for the city to really start building up, but I know that that is still half a century away.
  5. The story of Beruit, New York

Oppie's canal set is available at the SimCity Brazil website (I think it's an affiliate of Simtropolis). Nice story. I can't wait to see some more industry come about especially since as Beruit approaches the later nineteenth century. Of course there's still a long way to go until then.
  6. The story of Beruit, New York

Great new updates. I am liking the small downtowns; you do a great job at making them look very realistic. I can't wait to see the growth of Beruit over time, but I guess I'll just have to wait for that anyway. The maps also help make everything seem realistic and easier to understand. I can't wait for next time.
  7. The story of Beruit, New York

This is a great journal with a historical twist. I like it and I look forward to seeing Beruit grow and prosper and experience history.
  8. Oh the possibilities! I can't wait to get my hands (or cursor rather) on this modd. About flowing water, I'm sure that once this was released people can make waterfalls, sloped BATs (not sure how they would really work though, you'd have to conform the land to the slope). or just textures.
  9. Nexis of Genesis

Hmm... I can't wait to see what Vatt and the rest of the crew find on Verto. It has always seemed to be the most mysterious and thus interesting planet to me. Looking forward to the landing .
  10. Mystery City: US 2 1/2

Hey everyone, I'm back. Sort of anyway. I've just been very, very busy this past month. So I just need to get myself back into order before I can start the other game up. Thank you Fairlane for continuing this great game and I'd like to ask that you keep 2 1/2 going for awhile, because I'm still busy. When I'm ready to start the other one back up, I will let you all know. In the meantime, happy guessing. And sorry for disappearing for quite awhile (very long time now that I look at it ).
  11. I have nearly 800 mb of junk in my documents plugins folder. (and then there's the SimCity plugin folder) I haven't seen much of a slowdown though. I would go through and do a little cleaning, but I'm afraid I may start some conflicts. Now I'm stuck with them all not knowing where I've used some and where I haven't.
  12. Nexis of Genesis

Great updates. I came home to find that Vatt is doing very well for himself. Keep up the great work. I'm looking forward to learning about Verto, since that planet has always intrigued me.
  13. The Simtropolis Annuarians Club

I've also been here for over a year. I joined June 22 of last year and I've been active ever since I joined.
  14. Digby - East Coast Region

That is just simply amazing. You continue to develop new graphical methods for captivating readers. I've enjoyed the recent updates and I hope to see many more.
  15. Nexis of Genesis

Great new update. I wonder what will happen with the garbage situation... Also which cities are connected to the rail network?
