About This File

This Mod was originally created by BigRedFish, This is a slope mod which was lost during the ST upgrade. He or She is no longer an active member of Simtropolis, however this slope mod is his, I mearly recovered it and uploaded.

This slope mod is fairly radical, especially with railroads, It takes several tiles to go up 15 meters, this provides a very realistic incline. Enjoy this mod! And remember all praise and credit goes to BigRedFish.

how much is 15m in as tiles in the game?
[/quote]

Your in-game terrain tile (within a city square) is a 16 x 16 m tile, so the 15 m is a teeny bit less than the length of the side of the game tiles. That height is used because it's the default height of the elevated networks above the ground networks.

Really, this is a waste of STEX memory, I can't really make an overpass!

Then remove it, and it isn't a waste of space. Get out :rage:

1 kilobyte of space for this simple plugin is wasteful compared to at least 1/2 GB for the NAM, let alone anywhere between 1/2 MB to 20 MB for just about ALL the buildings (not counting the likely list of dependencies)on the STEX?

I LOVE this mod. Would want one specificially for RHW but then again, there are times when the slope can/needs to be alterred to be smoother (MHW/Avenue) or sharper (roads at best) so this is PERFECT.

I'm currently installing NAM 42. I see that it has a RealRailway slope mod included in it. Will this slope mod conflict with the NAM 42 RRW Tunnel and Slope Parameters? Thank you!

Edit: I suppose that it won't because I don't see RRW in the examples image.

Edit 2: I see in SC4DataNode that it does, indeed, override this mod. Is that okay because only the rail part of this mod is being overridden? When I say "part," is that what exemplars are? Would it be correct to say that only the rail exemplars are being overridden?
