NHP Steamboat Valley
By beskhu3epnm and JPlumbley

This map is based on a real location near Invermere, British Columbia Canada. It is being released as a portion of a much larger map, NHP Invermere Valley by beskhu3epnm and Jplumbley.

NHP Invermere Valley is the topic of a Nature style city journal by the authors of this map. Click Here.

Steamboat Valley is located north of Steamboat mountain (the smaller of the two). It has been modified by JPlumbley using SC4 Terraformer, and a river has been included. The map is quite small by modern standards, only 2x3 large tiles in size. It has many unique features that will be a challenge for experienced players to develop.

The map measures 2 large tiles wide by 3 large tiles long (1281x1281). A config is included in the .zip package.

The Columbus Terrain Textures were used when opening/saving the city tiles in game, but any terrain mod can used to do the same. For custom snow levels and rock angles, I have included a custom copy of the main file in the Columbus Textures. Simply replace the default file with the one included in the package. Credits to Cycledogg for permission to use these!

The PEG Limestone Rock Mod was used when opening/saving the city tiles in game, but any rock mod can used to do the same.

Make sure to visit our NHP Map Forum for posting your thoughts, suggestions, requests and comments + sneak peaks of future maps by the New Horizons Productions Team. Also, there are some much better screenshots of this map available in the thread. Enjoy this map, and don’t forget to comment & rate, even if you hate it!

This looks like a great map . . . looks very detailed, and the terrain is nicely varied.

Thank you for all the comments guys. Glad you guys like the accuracy and the enhancements for playability. This is just the first of a line of Invermere Valley Projects that are part of one large one.
