HIGH ELEVATION IMPORT MODS SET
This is not the first import mod to be uploaded to the STEX, however, with moganite's permission this plugin set fixes two of the great mysteries of importing greyscale images - Auto Edge Reconciliation, and flat top mountains.
The Original:https://www.simtropolis.com/STEX/index.cfm?id=16056
The above pictures are pictures of imported maps without this fix added to them. With this plugin set, these peculiarities no longer exist!
This is a catch all plugin set. This is the most recent and most complete import plugin set currently available. There are no issues and the set has been through several hours of import testing.
This plugin package is a combination of the following:
MallowTheCloud's import plugins
wougainine's No Erosion Mod
moganite's erosion mod edits
This set was previously released as:
moganite's No Erosion Control Mod
This set has been modified from all of these to provide the following:
No Auto City Edge Reconcile function.
Max Terrain Height moved from 2500m to 6000m
The Edge Reconciliation function reconciles the edges of city borders during high-elevation greyscale image importing. When the threshold at the border of cities reaches a point, the auto-reconcile function inputs itself without asking consent of the user!! This leaves
your high-elevation maps with a gap of reconciled terrain at the N and W corners of city borders.
Also, if you are importing an image of 2500m or more, there is a "ceiling" that prevents any terrain from forming over 2500m leaving you with flat tops!
This plugin set allows you to enjoy moganite's plugin package without comprimising your mountainous map! And as with moganite's set, you can experiment with different erosion methods to find the best looking map for you.
This set includes the original MallowTheCloud import mods as well as Erosion mods (to limit or amplify erosion as stated above).
The only issue with this set is that it shouldn't be included with any terrain mods such as the Columbus Terrain Mod or Middle European Climate Mod as these contain their own import scales (which creates a conflict).
Please enjoy. As always, PM me if you are having any trouble understanding anything at all.
