About This File

This is a Fantsay map of an atol i have been thinking about doing for a while. It is supposed to be low coral out crops surrounding the peak of an extinct volcano. It is also my first attempt at a region map  drawn freehand so there isn't a great deal of detail. Region size is 32x32 km. No plugins used in this render

Instructions

1) Download the config.bmp and greyscale image reunionisland.jpeg from simtropolis.com

2) (optional)If you have a graphic program open the greyscale region in your progof choice remove jpeg artifact and convert to BMP, Save in a convient location i pick the SimCity root directory in c:\documentsandsettingsusername\mydocuments/SimCity/greysacleimages C:\ is the drive your docs are on

3) Noplugins required

4) Start SimCity 4 use ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+R you will get a dialog box.

5) Browse for your files in c:\....documentsand settingsusername\mydocuments/SimCity where c:\ is the drive your docs are stored on click OK

6) The game will then render the image this will take some time depending on your system as a guide it will take 20 mins on a AMD 2700 with radeon9600 1 gig RAM if your machine is slower it will take proportionally longer to render.

7) when its finished Rendering ENJOY

You can use this anyway you wish but i would like it if you gave credit for its use in any way shape or form.

It is the greay areas. once i have rendered i use region census to grab the whole region as one image and then flood fill the areas that are not cities black. I used white but I think black looks better.
