Introduction / Overview
The lower one of the two International Finance Center (IFC) buildings in Hong Kong is also the older one, completed in 1998. In a city like Hong Kong, its height of 210 meters (689 ft) isn't even enough to get into the top 10 any longer, but its still belongs to the most characteristic buildings in Hong Kong. One of its most striking features is the circular, windowless base.
This BAT is an accurate recreation of the real-life building although the elevated walkways that lead into the building are not included in this BAT rendition. The building sits on a rather tight and compact lot. Depending on your taste, you may either find that it looks best in a dense downtown due to the odd base section, or that precisely the base section makes it interesting enough to be placed as a singular building at an exposed location. However, there is no plaza or park around the base to allow for maximum flexibility (if you want a park or plaza around it, you can always make it yourself).
1IFC has been modded to serve three functions:
- Ploppable landmark
- Ploppable functional CO$$$
- Growable CO$$$
All lots share the same basic design, but flora and people on it are randomized and will change every time the building grows or is plopped.
Note: Ploppable and landmark versions feature individual custom menu icons that will allow you to see immediately which version is which. Moreover, both versions are to be found conveniently grouped together near the bottom of your landmark menu.
