About This File

Kormaer is dominated by a large lake with some low hills, lots of flatlands for easy development of port, resort or any other type of city. No mods were used in the rendering of this map and the map size is 1281x833. Thanks for looking and enjoy if you downloaded. Comments and feedback are welcomed.

A quick Note: I couldn't supply the config because the STEX will not allow me to upload bitmaps. I have one made, just PM me and I'll e-mail it to you.

Edit March 27, 2006: Go here to get a config for this map [scroll to near bottom of the page until you see the Kormaer Map]. Until I am able to upload bitmaps, all configs for future maps will be found there. I apoligize for the inconvenience this causes.

Cool idea with the lake. Looks good. I'm gonna try it out in a refreshing way. Thx. (first view, first comment!)

Its strange that yer having these probs with the uploads Blade - it happened on one or two of my maps too - I simply reuploaded the config the next day and it worked !! Perhaps its just a glitch with the STEX until Dirk gets it fine tuned - nice map btw !!

this is just the black sea with a added peninsula i think a map with the real black sea + real rivers and mountains would be cool

This IS in fact the Black Sea, with an added peninsula as anubis89 has stated. And again, as he stated, a real rendering of the area would be very cool, together with maybe Anatolia? Kormaer is a name derived from Crimea I suppose...

This is the black sea with a different name. Why do that? And the pennisula really exists, just extended. The crimean pennisula, I think.

wow--look how many of us saw the Black Sea...and to think: they're dropping Geography from so many a ciriculum...sad.

So what's the issue here? So what if it's a hand-drawn version of the Black Sea. I didn't see any need to explain further since this map is listed under the 'fantasy map' catagory, which says it all. So if you don't like, don't download, it's as simple as that.

This is listed as a map of fantasy, does it really matter if it happens to LOOK a little like the Black sea?? If he had tried to pass it off as an accurate scale map of said area, then I for one would have criticised him for it - but he didn't - so give him a break :-)

To zugtroll, alkoala, justinhayward, sim1234 & iquere - thanks for the kind words and support. To spincrus - the name Kormaer is a made up name and wasn't derived from any name in the that region of the world. Good guess though.
