About This File

The Holidays. Everyone knows that they are about: happiness, family, giving, even spirituality.
Things that money can't necessarily buy...

...But still yet, advertising is very good at convincing us all otherwise. Because without the holiday season, nearly all facets of the economy would be lost (except for maybe the legal industry and debt collectors) and everyone would suffer.

And somehow that brings me to explaining this mall:

A mildly deconstructivist style urban mall. The stuff that looks like brick on the tops is actually metal plating with horizontal striped windows (thus the nightlighting translucency).

It's a fine shopping establishment geared toward urban areas. Features completely underground parking, and outdoor street-level shops.

This was supposed to be a "lego"-like mall, but ultimately I decided to make it more deconstructivist because that's where the BAt felt like it was going.

170 CS$$$ jobs, zip contains ploppable and growable, 4x5 tiles

The criss-cross pattern at the base and brick walls make me think of that Wexner centre by Eissenman. Once again I have a hard time placing this in decon, it might just be your own interpretation though (which is cool.) You seem to be stuck in this trend, will it continue?

Its actually not brick: But rather copper-colored metal panneling with striped windows. Alternating between stripes of metal and window. Thus the partial traslucency on the nightlights. (Yes that was intentional)

I love these deconstructivist buildings. This one is especially nice. Great nightlighting. 10/10

There used to be a Mall in London,Ont that looked like this. I think it was called the "Atrium on the Bay" in the 70's and 80's, It was part of the downtown core at the time..before the "Eaton Center went up". Ah the 80's.....

Interesting BAT design in a unique architectural style which is unfortunately severely underrepresented on this site. Good to have it in the plugin folder. :thumb:
