Remember 911 Plaza 1.0

As much as this is a tribute to all who perished on 9/11, the lot itself is pretty darn crappy. Add some trees, some lights, some more color. Right now it's blek.

needs more props but not tombstones, perhaps the american flag.

The Very best memorials and monuments in the world, (Viet. in DC,Lincoln, Taj Mahal and so on.) all have a subtlety about them. a timeless quality that allows them to speak TO people long after the person or event being commemorated fades from direct memory. This 9-11 thing, speaks AT us,

And for god's sake, don't just dolly it up with a bunch of American Flags and think because it's a patriotic knee jerk thing that flags will commemorate. Try for something that really commemorates, rather than just sensationalizes like Fox News.

I wonder if you have one city with ALL your lots in it ... try it and see how your city will lag ... you have a tendency to overspend big time on the props ... remember not eveyboy play on a CRAY.

ukecko, are you an english teacher, i hope not, because the word REMEMBER, is meant to stand for things that already happened.

talkblah, you should have written REMEMBER 9-11 in flowers, tombstones are grim, and make people think of death and sadness, people who where affected would rather not remember the grim and sadness, they want to remember the good things about it.

Um....I am not sure how I would be able to incorporate this into a city.....nice idea, expand on it.

I'm italian.. and i love usa...i've 3 Usa american flag.. and for me 9-11 was a terrificant schock. I will put a 10 but you can add a monument with the written and american flag with the golden globe of the wtc :-(

Not good at all. Figure out a way to memorzlize without shouting out "OMG 911!!!!!" or painting the town red, white, and blue.

Can anyone maybe figure out how to change the Empire State Building landmark to have the Red, White & Blue lighting towards the top of the building as a it is in NYC as a more subtle memorial.

Here in Kansas City they changed the lighting on the CBS TV Antenna to Red, White & Blue as a memorial for locals who lost loved ones in the attack.

the idea of the lot is good (7/10) But the presentation/design is a little yucky (3/10) so Ill give you a 5 (average). Maybe if you make a Version 2, with some touch ups.
