This little Mod is actually an add on for those using the Lot Editor. It is not a lot and will not appear in the game. This is simply an aid for folks using the Lot Editor to identify the Prop Families rather than scrolling thru the various numbers and trying to figure out when they mean.
This mod WILL create a dependency for those MAXIS items that now have a family name, only if the family is used on a lot.. This will NOT create a dependency on any CUSTOM content made by others here.
Lot makers, if you see a dependency on this mod for your lot, feel free to redistribute this mod with your lot to eliminate that dependency. This mod can be placed anywhere in your plugins directories. I personally like to place this in the C:\ProgramFiles\Maxis\Simcity4\plugins root folder, not in a subfolder. It works quite well there.
Which would you rather have? The picture at the left, which is Maxis provided, or the picture on the right which this mod provides?
