PEG CDK-REC Recreational Style  1.1

About This File

The CDK is back with several enhancements and some pretty cool night lighting. Modified from the original 'Highwall' style, this will be the only recreational style of CDK lots. The industrial style  and a new commercial style will be soon to follow.

The CDK lots are connectable and self-leveling, and contain BAT foundations and props. They will alter the surrounding terrain to assure "a good Plop" (almost) every time.

Added to this style is a new parking lot... lot. The Snack Bar also now provides jobs as well some income. Gone are the old default streetlights & generic trees. In their place are lighted trees, landscape lighting and new lamp posts with extra lighting effects. Night time on the CDK is a sight to behold.

This style contains eight CDK lots that will allow you to fully develop your coastal areas. Although each lot (except the Snack Bar) is a park, they will now appear in your Water Transportation menu for easier access. Its time to give the Parks Menu a rest.

* The PEG Leveler Tool was designed specifically to level coastal areas for use with these lots.

** Existing Highwall-style CDK lots must be removed from you cities before installing the new CDK.

All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

I really like your stuff. Can I get some of your legacy stuff like the CDK Industrial Waterfront ? I've seen it on your web site but can't find them here on the STEX. Thanks.

cool, nice improvements, but would've been nice if this update REPLACED the prior CDK lots for those of us that have it and used it alot.

Richiedude44: There is no way to move a lot to another menu and not have to remove it in the game. And there were quite a few requests to move them to the Water Transportation menu. It may be a bit of a hassel going back... but a major blessing going forward.

ah that's why - I see PEG. If that was the consensus so be it. Will be a shitload of time deleting/replacing . . . . damnit. *lol* i've made some cities with the ENTIRE coastline using the CDK . . . . UGH.

bobbycheese: You won't have too long to wait. The new Pond and Stream kits are already in beta testing. You can see them on the support site. The new Hydro Dam (functioning power plant & water source) for the pond kits will be especially nice.

Awesome! I have been having a problem implementing them however (unlike the RTK3, which works great). Often when I plop any of the CDK pieces, the terrain lowers significantly, and I can't place a CDK lot next to a RTK lot. Still a 10! Hope you can fix or instruct

langem13: That 'self-lowering' is by design. The CDK lots are 'self-leveling' and will always plop to the perfect height along the coast. The PEG CDK Leveler tool (available here) can be used to help level the areas behind (inland) of the lots.
