Travel south of the border to obtain some pennies. Also, I note the irony of a Winnipegger including Amsterdam on their list of the most famous cities. I've lived in Winnipeg for close to 2 years now - I know what you folks do with your spare time! 8)

1. Paris (everybody knows Paris, thanks to the monuments, the landmarks, the museums, it's one if not the most visited city in the world, and when we talk about art or culture we talk about Paris. A definite #1 for me despite a lower influence both economically and politically in the world compared to other cities)
2. New York (dreams become true in NY)
3. London (financial city, a lot of famous places)

4. Tokyo (city of the future)

5. Hong Kong (skyscrapers, food, finance)

6. Los Angeles (hollywood)
7. Shanghai (economy)

8. Jerusalem (for religious reason)

9. Moscow (huge influence in politics)

10. Rome (historical reason, monuments)

With honorable mention to San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, Cape Town, Amsterdam, Geneva, Barcelona, Berlin, Venice, Athens, Vienne, Dubai, Mecca, Mumbai, Delhi, Beijing, Bangkok, Sydney and Singapore.

Stonehenge in London. Did I miss something  :???:

No, you didn't. Berlin isn't the economic center of Germany, either. It's anything but. Very popular with younger tourists though, especially from Spain and Israel for some reason. Popular dwelling spot of American hipsters.

Yep, the Manchu Picchu in Peru.

As of the moment, I'm sure New York is well relived but then again, since when did its popularity dropped?

I agree with this one, I would probably move 7 - 10 around a little bit.  Good honorable mentions too, I might add Stockholm and Toronto and to a lesser extent Madrid, Houston, Buenes Aires, and Seoul
