thank you for the info, thus far nothing has worked. I don't know why i was able to load it not that long ago, now I can't. I've provided the exception report I'm getting and perhaps someone well-versed in that kind of stuff might be able to help me troubleshoot this issue? SimCity Exception Report 2025.06.15 10.17.41.txt

Hello fellow simmers, been messing around (or attempting to) with my region on SimCity 4 deluxe. Getting a lot of CTDs, and strangely when i was able to load up and access a city in the past and either save the city and exit to region, or exit to region with a save the city would disappear graphically but highlighting the tile would bring the city info up as if it were still there. I played around with a few options moved a city to one tile it appeared then entered, it loaded, saved moved back with varying success. But now it seems mostly CTDs. Perhaps someone can point me in some troubleshooting directions. And yes, to my knowledge the 4gb patch has been applied to the executable with the steam version. any help is greatly needed and greatly appreciated.

Been spending a bit of time lately after a looooong hiatus in my region. These are some pics from my largest city Quincey pop: 1,060,000 just about everything in the city including landmark buildings has been grown via RCI. Maybe I'll post some more stuff. First city I attempted to get over the 1,000,000 mark. It was a bit challenging but very rewarding, 95% of the tiles in the entire large size map sector have been made "historical" to help maintain the balance of RCI to residents.

Fire Realism Mod not working in Deluxe
gviper replied to gviper's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
hello there, yeah it's this mod: I guess by vanilla i meant not the deluxe steam version where the base game and rh expansion are included in one. This mod worked with the disc base game and rush hour expansion, but for some reason doesn't work with the steam deluxe version... -
i know im one of those strange guys that likes disasters, and this mod used to work really good in the vanilla disk version. Now i have to use SC4 Deluxe on Steam. It doesn't appear to be changing anything in the game. Doesn't adjust flammability and hardly any fires ever. Im very familiar with how it "should" function having used it for years before. Any reason why the deluxe edition won't allow the mod to function? thanks.

yeah my mistake it'd been a while since i'd logged in, i clicked the link on the latest entry on the thread and forgot that rather than taking me to the latest entry, it takes me to the first entry. btw, i've always enjoyed looking at your handiwork with the NAM. cheers.

alright i gotta admit. now that some of the biggest whoppers of bugs and annoyances in the game have been marvelously resolved. one still remains: The highway light poles taller than the mid-rise buildings! Someone desperately needs to resize those puppies!

Extra innings at the ballpark; the game ran long here in Appleton. More money for the concessions business!

Cities Skylines II Announced - Release Date and Pricing
gviper replied to Samerton's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
Looking at jumping into the franchise with this one. Though I hope the graphics are a bit better than what I saw in C:S. Been quite a while since I've played the genre. Love SC4, but I finally wore myself out on it. Though I certainly agree with RSC204: I won't jump in til I see what it REALLY has to offer. -
been awhile since I've been on the site and I come back to this! Marvelous!

Please take a look at the coding pertaining to the pathfinding and traffic simulating when NAM is updated again (if it is, or maybe version 42 itself). I've noticed some very odd behavior that happens in heavily developed tiles that didn't exist in any other heavily developed tiles before I installed the most recent version. Particularly very sluggish path identification and assignment to buildings. Thus, I end up with extensive no vehicle access zots, and long after the game has cycled and identified the road servicing the buildings I end up with random no access zots appearing and buildings subsequently abandoning. This occurs predominantly on large cities and maybe it's a memory or overflow problem associated with cities that involve a lot of buildings and calculations. However, prior to this most recent NAM it never occurred outside of a short window shortly after zoning a city. This is definitely different. please help. thank you! *** well, further examination reveals it MAY be the modern condominiums by Matt_325, that have a bug. although realizing this is difficult as there is a lag for the pathfinding tool too recognize developed buildings in a city tile...and that to some degree I am aware of is a game mechanic. (these two features produce the same result and are overlapping but one is a bug the likely may just be the game)
