For nearly three decades the original World Trade Center and it's Twin Towers dominated the Lower Manhattan Skyline until their destruction during the events of September 11, 2001. The icons were featured in several movies, TV shows and postcards and became notorious symbols that represented New York City. The complex housed over 400 companies that were engaged in various commercial activities. On a typical weekday, an estimated 50,000 people worked in the complex and another 140,000 passed through as visitors. The towers offered expansive views from the observation deck atop the South Tower and the prestigious Windows on The World restaurant which were housed at the 106th and 107th floors of the North Tower. The Mall at the World Trade Center located at the underground concourse level housed several stores including eateries and access to the MTA Subway and Path Transit trains. In memory of those who lost their lives during the events of 9/11, never forget...

The Parque Central Complex (Central Park) is a housing, commercial and cultural development, implemented by Centro Simón Bolívar (CSB) and located in the area known as El Conde in the center of the city of Caracas, Venezuela. Within the complex are the Twin Towers of Parque Central which are two skyscrapers that, for decades, have become Caracas' architectural icon. From 1979 (when the West Tower was opened) until 2003, they held the title of tallest skyscrapers in Latin America until they were overtaken by Torre Mayor in Mexico City. Today the Parque Central Towers are South America's second tallest skyscrapers and the third tallest in Latin America, after Costanera Center in Santiago (Chile) and Torre Mayor in Mexico City. Parque Central towers were the tallest twin buildings in Latin America, now the Edifício Yachthouse in Balneário Camboriú - Brazil, owns the title. When the complex was finally opened in 1983, it was considered the "most important urban development in Latin America". Since then Parque Central is a point of reference in Caracas and its main landmark. It houses many cultural and government institutions and is adjacent to the cultural district of museums in Caracas. -

One World Trade Center (also known as 1 World Trade Center, 1 WTC or Freedom Tower[15]) is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. It is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the sixth-tallest in the world. The supertall structure has the same name as the North Tower of the original World Trade Center, which was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The new skyscraper stands on the northwest corner of the 16-acre (6.5 ha) World Trade Center site, on the site of the original 6 World Trade Center. The building is bounded by West Street to the west, Vesey Street to the north, Fulton Street to the south, and Washington Street to the east. The building's architect was David Childs, whose firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) also designed the Burj Khalifa and the Willis Tower. The construction of below-ground utility relocations, footings, and foundations for the new building began on April 27, 2006. One World Trade Center became the tallest structure in New York City on April 30, 2012, when it surpassed the height of the Empire State Building. The tower's steel structure was topped out on August 30, 2012. On May 10, 2013, the final component of the skyscraper's spire was installed, making the building, including its spire, reach a total height of 1,776 feet (541 m). Its height in feet is a deliberate reference to the year when the United States Declaration of Independence was signed. The building opened on November 3, 2014; the One World Observatory opened on May 29, 2015. On March 26, 2009, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) confirmed that the building would be officially known by its legal name of "One World Trade Center", rather than its colloquial name of "Freedom Tower".The building is 104 standard floors high, but the tower has only 94 actual stories. The new World Trade Center complex will eventually include five high-rise office buildings built along Greenwich Street, as well as the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, located just south of One World Trade Center where the original Twin Towers stood. The construction of the new building is part of an effort to memorialize and rebuild following the destruction of the original World Trade Center complex. I have updated my Twin Towers I BATed back in September to bring you a new version! I felt the updated was much needed after finding some time to do so. I feel now they stand as they should for SimCity 4's standards. I'm sure most of us already know about the Twin Towers, what they were, what happened to them, etc. They were once great landmarks located in Lower Manhattan, in New York City. They were once the tallest buildings in the city and the state of New York. Standing on top of either tower would give you a feeling of being on Top of the World. If you'd like to learn more about them, feel free to read their Wikipedia Article for starters. Personally, I find them to be marvels of architecture. I miss them highly, and I hope that they can stand indefinitely in SC4 at least. Installation Instructions: You do not have to demolish any lots. You can either delete the original model files from the previous upload and replace them with the new model files, or you can simply use the zip file to replace all files at once. The lots are exactly the same previously, the only change is the model files. Stats: Each tower sits on a 5x5 lot. Each tower is CO$$$ and provides about 21,000 jobs each. They are ploppable landmarks only, and are found in the landmarks menu. Dependencies- None! All added props for these towers are included. Special thanks to Mattb325 for modding the first version, then doing some more modding work for the new version. Thanks as well goes to T Wrecks and Gn_leugim for their opinions on this.
