Nice job. I grabbed it and like many others stated, stadiums are lacking in the game. As far as the real version goes, those types of venues these days are considered icons, and replacing them would cost more finacially then building a new stadium(one University in my state wanted to build a new stadium and several high profile former players all stated if they do tear down that "old, dusty, mold infested rat hole"(university presidents own words), they would stop sending money to the university. What ended up happening was they completely gutted the interior of the stadium(leaving the exterior walls), and renovated it to where it was a "new" stadium, but still "old", and it worked out great, as it looks great and the players loved it

After spending most of the day plopping lots over and over, I finally found the offending building and deleted it Then this morning SC4Boy posted at SC4D about this being a known issue and posted a link to a thread with a cleanitall file to remove other offending lots that may cause this issue as well. My issue is solved thank god. Thanks SC4Boy(not sure if he posts here or not so thanking him on both sites to be safe)

Yeah thats the issue. I have one more trick I am going to try, and thats to use the lotplop and plop every single 3x3 commercial building in my plugin's folder, which I figure will take about all day lol

Does anyone have any idea what this building is supposed to be? This lot grows and instantly becomes immortal, yet I can never catch it while its growing to catch the name of the lot so that I can delete it from my plugin's folder. I have had to bulldoze roads and sometimes entire city blocks(some just to gain access to the roads to plop the immortal killer) to delete this bugger. Its a 3x3 lot and I assume its a stage 8 or lower building, as it seems to stop popping up whenever I get numerous stage stage 9's to grow. I have gone through all my landmarks to see if its a ploppable and no deal, and I tried the "plop all buildings" from the extra cheats .dll but after 30 minutes of that, the game CTD'd (I assume because I probably ran out of room on a large city tile for any other building to be plopped as the city tile was pretty much filled up). Over on SC4D, a user named whatevermind posted "The billboards it's leaving behind on the corner lot belong to 1500 Broadway (aka Times Square Plaza http://www.1500bdwy.com/ ) in real life" Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Mike

I doubt I could get into SC5 right now. Considering how much the game has been altered thanks to the various mods that have been created for this game(like NAM, CAM, SAM, T-Ram, NWM, RHW, etc I wouldn't be in any rush to play SimCity 5, because I have zero faith in Maxis or EA Games to make a SimCity 5 be worth the money they will want for it. Basically thanks to dedicated users here, and elsewhere, they have set the bar really high, and considering how much stuff they left in SC4 and didn't finish in order to put the game out, I have doubts about 5

Earliest SimCity Series Memory...
mike3775 replied to enemyone's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I fist played Simcity on a PC,then I bought a SNES, beat all the scenarios fast, then I moved on SC2000 on the Sega Saturn, then i bought another new PC and bought 2000 for it, then bought 3000, then unlimited, then SC4 and then Rush hour. What I miss the most though, but is fixed now because of mods and building creation, was in 2000 how all you had to do was zone an area for airport/seaport and the game developed it for you, and it made sure to fill every single nook and cranny of zoned space. I used to always put my airport in the middle of my city on a hill and have tunnels going under the airport -
what I wish they had done for SC4 was to be able to just zone for an airport, seaport and the game develops it to fill the zoned space I miss playing SC2000 at times, but the farthest back I can play and not have issues with the graphics is 3000

I like it. Its different and unique, and so what if it looks different than the other skyscrapers that are on the STEX. I like different looking buildings in my cities. this will be a nice addition to my commercial cites where I can't seem to satisfy demand for CO$$$ Demand for the life of me. Great job.

you really do not have to delete everything and download them again, you could always save them to CD or DVD and then place them into folders to organize them after you delete them from your folders

Problem with RCI graphic
mike3775 replied to in_omnia_parato's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I got so sick of that occuring to me that I saved both my plug in folders(my documents and program files) to CD, and then deleted all the files in the two folders and slowly replaced all the plugins one at a time and started the game every time and would play for about 20 minutes ad if no crashes occur, close the game and insert another plug in. I found out that I had 4 lots that would cause the game to crash every single time, and I never replaced them and now I rarely ever have a crash. Keep in mind, this took me a long time to do, because I had over 500 plug ins in each folder just about, but I am happy because the game rarely crashes anymore. -
I had forgotten all about this site. This version looks and acts great. I love the ease and speed. Great job Dirk. Also glad to see alot of familiar names still creating lots and stuff for the exchange as well, as well as a few familiar names on these boards as well.

A word about spyware and pop up advertising.
mike3775 replied to rybolton's topic in Simtropolis Related
34 may not seem alot to you, but its still 34 more than I care to have on my system though I want NONE on my system, which is why I have it run everyday when my PC is on, that way anything that may have gotten through doesn't. When I upgrade my PC or install any new programs, I always run the program to make sure my system is 100% free of spyware/adware. Adaware and spybot is reliable enough to keep most major programs off the saystems, dont get me wrong, I would recommend them in a heartbeat, but if you want a totally clean PC, I would recommend spy sweeper though. It all depends on the level you want. -

I would just buy Spy Sweeper. Its like $30 for a 2 year subscription and it picks up way more spyware/adware than Adaware and Spybot combined. http://www.webroot.com/wb/products/spysweeper/index.php before I installed it, I ran adaware and it found none, then spybot and it also found none, after installing spysweeper it found 3 programs and 34 instances of spyware(cookies etc) that the other 2 programs did not find. There is a free version, but you can only update the definitions one time, but they have more defs than adaware has. Currantly it has over 23,000 defs on the program
