  1. King of Donair

There's a KOD in Saint John, NB, just a few blocks from my school; not sure if they're related. At any rate, excellent work. It's great to see a distinctively Atlantic Canadian building on the STEX. Nice touch on the Stephen Harper graffiti too. 10/10
  2. NHL Trivia Season 3

First, I apologize for the inactivity. In game one, I wasn't around within the first 15 minutes; and as for game two, I haven't been able to browse the forums in a few days on account that I've hardly been home. Second, I honestly don't know who the goalie is, or what he could possibly be famous for. So I'll ask for a hint
  3. Duke87's Random Trivia

    5. The Caspian Sea is the world's largest lake for both surface area and volume. The world's largest freshwater lake by area is Lake Superior, but the largest in volume is Lake Baikal. 6. The Philippines 7. Oxalic acid. 8. A whole lot of colours. 9. It isn't permafrost, is it?
  4. Absolutely brilliant work. I hope you'd consider making a similarly weathered version without so much graffiti some other time.
  5. NHL Trivia Season 3

If anyone should be in the East, it should be me. I'm the furthest east out of all of you.
  6. Trashy Avenue Tunnel

I like it. I ran it through the lot editor to remove the litter, but that's just a personal preference. Good work.
  7. Duke87's Random Trivia

A lot of these are just guesses, but I'll give this a shot. 1) Is it hydrochloric acid (HCl(aq))??? 'Cause that'd be interesting. 3) Distance! 6) Elevation? Change in temperature, causing structural expansion/contraction. 10) Meat? Gosh, I'm hopeless.
  8. Harchester- A UK CJ by Storms991

Very British! Lots of roundabouts, as well as Gascooker and Ill Tonkso stuff. It ain't too shabby!
  9. NHL Trivia Season 3

SensMan: Obviously, the Leafs fans will get priority.
  10. NHL Trivia Season 3

I'll join, because Beebs wants me to join.
  11. Glad to hear you're still alive, Qurlix. In regards to the name, I actually like "Rural Highway"–It explains it perfectly, as the highways you've got here are typically what you'd see further away from urban development. Also, a question: how's the two-way portion of the RHW coming along? (^ AKA, this) RHW is still my favourite modd.
  12. Show us your computer errors

Oh, how I hate this one. It happens from time to time in MS Word on my computer, and it's quite unpredictable. I'd lost a couple school reports before I'd finally had it with the darn program. Nowadays, I do up text in WordPerfect 9. No crashes = happy camper.
  13. Gold Depra - An Empire of Greed

A wonderful newspaper layout, with wonderfully biased —as was obviously your intention— content. It fits with the rest of Gold Depra smashingly. But man, that Ibella Oil advert scares the crap out of me every time I read it. I'm drawing some huge parallels between them and a large oil company based in my hometown— albeit the RL oil company's statements aren't as blunt as Ibella's. It's also interesting to note that the daily newspaper in Saint John often gives the oil company positive press: after all, they're owned by the same family. You're doing a great job Choco.
  14. Official Mapping Community Requests

About 8 months ago, I made a request for a scale map of St. Pierre and Miquelon, and I'm still interested in such a map. Many thanks in advance to the mapper who takes this up.
  15. Under Bridge Scenery

Oh snap. Dude, that's some incredible stuff you've got there. Incredible! Keep 'er up!
  16. Three Rivers Region

Well dedgren (or should I call you David?), I've just digested the first 15 pages of 3RR (up to your overview map), and I must say that I'm impressed. Your eyecandy shots are beautiful, your tutorials useful and thorough, and your writing interesting and entertaining. I'd read the rest right now if I had time, but I've got a commentary to do over this (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend that I'd like to get over with. You can be sure though that I will follow up with the next 16 (I think it's 16 right now?) pages. You have a wonderfully unique way of CJing that is strangely addicting. Keep 'er up, dedgren! (or should I call you David?)
  17. Anduin Valley Revisited

Wow Darmok! That's a beautiful rural area. Those first couple pics are stunning! I'm wondering right now why I didn't visit this CJ sooner - from that last update, it looks like some incredible work. I'll have to look through the rest sometime! Excellent first impression!
  18. Surrey, BC powerout--revived

Blackouts in the summer are one thing, but when they happen in the WINTER, you're really screwed. I can still remember when eastern Canada was hit by the ice storm of January 1998. Our power was knocked out on Friday afternoon after freezing rain literally made trees and power lines collapse under the weight of the built up ice. My house has electric baseboard heaters, so we lost our heat immediately. We needed to keep water running so our pipes wouldn't freeze. My pet fish died because of the low temperatures. By Monday, our house was so cold that we had to move into a motel. Finally, on Tuesday night, our electricity was restored. We were among the last in the city to get our power back, after 4 days and 5 nights. Case and point - don't try to go through winter without a source of heat. You won't make it very far.
  19. Nyhaven: Views From Within (AIN)

That's a great city, and the story comes to match it! You've certianly outdone yourself with the movement over to plot-based stuff, while still providing enough raw city pics to satisfy any SC4 fan. I'll be following this.
  20. Gold Depra - An Empire of Greed

Darn, Ibella Oil is almost like the Irving family where I live. Stop recreating Atlantic Canada! Excellent update Choco.
  21. Top 10 most desired info/mods

This is an excellent opportunity, so here's my wishlist: 1. Bugfixes (ex. GLR bug, other annoying Maxis bugs, etc). 2. Transit fixes (referring to regional transportation behavior, pathfinding, that sort of thing). 3. Sandbox mode (elimination of financial aspect altogether). 4. The possibility of creating entirely new transportation networks (including actual underground highways, not just subways in sheep's clothing). 5. Lessen the frequency of fading cars, especially on highways. 6. Ability to build under bridges. 7. Crime rate to lot size ratio fix. 8. More stable game code for support of functional modular airports. That's actually all I can think of for now. I may add my final two later. These are in no particular order, though the ones closer to the top I thought of first.
  22. What Music are you listening to right now?

Pearl Jam - Marker In The Sand
  23. Gold Depra - An Empire of Greed

Wow, very threatening! It captures the feel of extreme capitalism down to the last dime. Great work!
  24. The Simtropolis Annuarians Club

Today I officially become a Simtropolis Annuarian! I can hardly believe it's been a year already. It really did seem to fly by.
  25. Shooting Rampage In Canada

Yeah, there have been others, but the 1989 shooting took place before I was born, and the Concordia one I was too young to remember (I'd always thought that the Concordia shootings happened in the 60s/70s. Or am I thinking of a completely different event?). So this is the first where I've been able to take the incident in as information becomes available.
