i appreciate the fact you put the date of your last update in the folder name. Just redownloaded this to replace the previous version.
  2. SPAM unemployment - Farm Degredation

The SPAM includes a query for the fields as well as the main farm building. Using that and the route query, I found that my most prosperous farm is on a 15x17 area, has 200 workers total, 32 in the main building, and the rest across the fields. It currently hasn't lost any jobs. My most degraded farm is on a 9x6 tile area. It has 42 workers total, 17 in the main building (which had a capacity of 32 jobs) and the rest in the field tiles, about half of which display 0/1 jobs when queried. The total population of this city is 2,014 sims. There are no other cities in the region yet. Total Ag demand is close to the top of the scale, approximately 5500. Since it worked for you, I'll see if zoning some commercial closer to the farm lots helps.
  3. I've searched and hadn't found a similar topic, so I'll post here. When playing with the SPAM addon, everything goes well at first, but pretty soon, most farms start to lose jobs. For example, a plot might go from 24 jobs to 15 or 39 to 32. Since agriculture is the base of the economy in SPAM cities, this triggers unemployment, especially in medium wealth neighborhoods. I've tried to prevent the degradation by keeping the farms away from any main roads and making sure they are covered by fire and water services, but some degradation still occurs. I've also checked for crime, and there is zero crime in the entire city. A likely related problem is the difficulty of keeping large numbers of low wealth sims available for work in the fields. (The SPAM documentation encourages placing schools and other services because reportedly the farms will now employ educated and wealthier sims along with the poor and uneducated). Is it possible that the degradation is caused by a lack of R$ employees? Or is there some other factor I'm missing?
  4. Neutopia 1

This seems like a really cool map. To make things easier for download, please put all of the files into a single .zip file. 87 loose downloads is a little excessive and makes it easy to miss a file here or there.
  5. uki Sim cliffside stations NAM update

    Version 1.0.0

These stations by uki-Sim are incredibly cool. I've updated them to have capacities and switch costs in line with the current NAM standards (September 2017 NAM 35). I've also included versions that will use the NAM query. To use this relot, simply download the original stations from the provided links and replace the .SC4lot files with my updated files. You must choose whether you want these stations to use the NAM train station query or the Maxis default. MAXIS: Extract the folder labeled MAXIS QUERY -or- NAM: Extract the folder labeled NAM QUERY KEEP ONLY ONE --- RRW USERS: If you have RRW installed, the textures of the through line rails will use the RRW textures. -- USAGE Gorge Station: Size: 1x4 + overhang Capacity: 50 000 passengers maintenance: $10 per month To use this station, simply plop it on the edge of a steep slope or cliff with the arrow pointing away from the dropoff. A steeper slope generally looks nicer, but isn't necessary. Gorge Station 30m: Size: 2x4 Capacity: 57 500 Passengers Maintenance: $15 per month To use this station, you must make sure the change in elevation over the tile adjacent to the rail line is ~30m. If the slope is much shallower or steeper, the stairs will not look right. The hole diggers included with NAM are very useful here. Place the station with the arrow facing towards the dropoff. The flexible foundation will conform to the slope. This station includes a bus stop. --------- DEPENDENCIES: You need the original stations .sc4model and .sc4desc files for this relot to work. The main pages are in Japanese, but Google Chrome's auto translate is adequate Gorge station: main page: http://uki-sim.seesaa.net/article/143281360.html just click on the download icon in the center of the page (or Direct download is: http://uki-sim.up.seesaa.net/bat/Gorge-RailStation.zip ) Gorge station 30m: Main page: http://uki-sim.seesaa.net/article/143729718.html just click on the download icon in the center of the page (or direct download is: http://uki-sim.up.seesaa.net/bat/Gorge-RailStation_30m.zip ) ---------- Final Notes: I encourage you to check out the rest of uki Sim's bats and props on their website. http://uki-sim.seesaa.net/ Enjoy! -new.orendor UPDATED_README_Uki_sim_cliffside_stations_relot.txt
  6. Old Time Power Plants - jestarr Boilerhouses

Initial impression is excellent. There are a lot of small scale clean energy plants, but not much in the way of dirty ones, so well done. Also the scaling for balance is appreciated. EDIT: Tested them out and they work very nicely. Well done. Also heads up the props from sterling consolidated manufacturing are in Jestarrs megapack volume 8 Cleanitol_BSCMegaProps_JES_Vol08.txt
