Imported region and cities don't show properly
nicoliani posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I imported all my used plugins and regions from an old backup to my new PC, note, without the SimCity 4.cfg file. With the region I was building only one custom city is showing up. I had a couple of cities in it. Strange thing, as well when I exit the game, and look at the regions folder, those cities has moved to the Downloads folder. I made a new folder with a new name and copied the region from my backup into it. Now one more city is showing up, still the other missing, yet the region is completely flat, and looks bogus. When I looked back at the directory the files had been moved as well, I don't know what the issue is. -
Imported region and cities don't show properly

I fixed it, I think it conflicted with Steam. Within Steam there is Regions folder created as well, and the identical in the Documents directory. I added Region Timbuktu to my Documents folder but apparently it was looking through the Steam directory, and the reason for the conflict. So now I just have the Regions withing Steam. -
Emergency 2013, not a city building game, but a "city" strategy game. Now if SC 2013 could look like this or better and have the abilitys we see in this game to actually play something within the city, instead like needing to care about building casinos and making revenue for no much fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsNUY9v2U8g

Anyone else having everything in the city dissapear besides the zones when you are zoom out as much possible and when you move around (scroll) the city. The closer you zoom the less things dissapear, although you have to be 100% in to have everything up, otherwise things like cars, pedestrians, lights... all this things dissapear when you move around the mouse. I just had a fresh install of Deluxe, patched, no plugins, and it's like this even if I don't do the resolution widescreen mod. Can this be fixed?

Why is it important to set graphic settings to normal and not high? -
I'm using Win 7 x64 and Radeon HD7700.

Who needs this if the game is going to be moddable? Or will it?

It's not Sim City 5, it's Sim City Social. I knew it! Looks like a Facebook game: http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6380162/simcity-social-announcement-trailer

It is, concepts art, although don't expect the gameplay to me better than what you saw Maxis is long gone, don't live on old merits. What we once had we will never get back. EA is destroying and will keep on doing it because they are giving the majority what they want to play, and that is a games picturing our society, a dumbed down civilization.

EA terminated the NHL series on PC because of pirating. What's the hopes they make a game with mods that will live long? No they don't make long lived games with mod tools any more, they make a game that lasts one year then they make it in a new form, and so it goes.

LCD screens run at 60 Hz. For desktop application there is nothing you can do to improve it. Driving the Hz up will result in bad tearing. For games although there is an option to increase the refresh rate called "3D Refresh Rate Override" and have it look beautiful ingame. If you have an ATI or Nvidia card there is an option in the control settings software CCC and ForceWare where you can choose a higher refresh rate than 60 Hz. So when you start your game your LCD auto goes int 75 Hz. When I first used it I was impressed. I never was a fancy of the qulity for games with LCD screens but now it is magnificent. Games look so beautifully, lively and you feel like you're inside the game. It's the same difference what you noticed when you went over from analog to digital TV, or when you first saw a movie or trailer in HD format. I haven't tried any rate over 75 Hz as I don't know if my screen supports that. But setting it to 75 Hz wouldn't give any LCD any issues and is safe for your LCD but I now when someone does runs over 100 Hz it can happen that games don't start. Please let us now if you experienced what I have experienced and if you got even better picture qulity going over 75 Hz.

There was Live Free Or Die Hard, there was Rocky Balboa, there is soon John Rambo and there is soon Sim City Societies. Classic series wasted in the junk by money greedy incompatible retards. -

Would SC fans play a new version of SIMS that would have a little similarities with Sim City? No we would stick with SC. So will SIMS fans find SC Societies interesting and play it. I don't think so. SIMS fans stick with SIMS. Societies will be a disaster for EA. Nobody will play it. I don't get how they think. It's just bad that the turned the back on their biggest fans. I really hope there will be a new developer very soon delivering what we want. Because I don't want anything with EA anymore. -

This is what EA does at it's best. Destroying and killing good games. Just like Sensible World Of Soccer failed because EA FIFA Soccer had the money and monopoly, they killed the creation of good soccer games and keeps on deliviring garbage each year of soccer. MAXIS where are youuuuuuu. I was expecting a more advanced SC5, and this is the child garbage I get. Majkavi vasa SC5 have not only killed SC5 it have also killed SC4. I just can't have a good time with it anymore. Combined double post. ~ VT -
